Publisher's summary

Number-one best-selling author and radio host Glenn Beck exposes the real truth behind the roots of Islamic extremism in Muslim teaching in this sharply insightful audiobook that debunks commonly held assumptions about Islam and the dream of a renewed caliphate.

From the barbarians of ISIS to the terror tactics of Al-Qaeda and its offshoots to the impending threat of a nuclear Iran, those motivated by extreme fundamentalist Islamic faith have the power to endanger and kill millions. The conflict with them will not end until we face the truth about those who find their inspiration and justification in the religion itself.

Drawing on quotes from the Koran and the hadith, as well as from leaders of ISIS, Al Qaeda, and the Muslim Brotherhood, Glenn Beck seeks to expose the true origins of Islamic extremism as well as the deadly theological motivations behind these agencies of destruction.

Using the same unique, no-holds-barred style from his best-selling books Control and Conform, Glenn Beck offers straight facts and history about the fundamental beliefs that inspire so many to kill.

Not about Islamophobia

Beck's obviously right wing but you should know that before listening. On the other hand, he makes great use of quoting texts and statements by prominent Muslims to make his points. If you can get past his right-leaning bent, you will be challenged by questions like "Is Islam compatible with the first amendment (or our constitution in total)?" Or, "How will such a divided religion such as Islam reconcile the claims and behaviors of the radicals with the more modern?"

The book leaves one wondering how Americans, Brits, French, etc will deal with the issues of free speech, shariah and terrorism.

All-in, a worthy listen for a calm and thinking person. Maybe not so much for radicals on either side.

Glenn Beck: No
Jeremy Lowell: performance was OK

Any additional comments?

Just open any discussion under any article on internet ISIS or Al-Qaeda and you get the content of this book. Waste of time, stopped listening after 45 minutes. Worst book I've ever bought on Amazon.

Great Book, but...

If you could sum up It IS About Islam in three words, what would they be?

Well researched, timely

What did you like best about this story?

The references.

What does Jeremy Lowell and Glenn Beck - introduction bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It was a great set up.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Polical Correctness is pushed aside by pesky facts.

Any additional comments?

Love Glenn. His books are great and well researched. My problem is not with the book at all, but how Glenn can so thoroughly disect Islam and its founders and their historical impacts, demonstrating the truth about what Islam IS, but can't seem to do the same with Mormonism. I can see that he isn't close minded. I'd like to see an honest treatise on Mormanism, Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, based on real historical sources, pointing out the Glaring difference between Christianity and Mormonism. Preferably referencing the work of the late great Walter Martin. Though, this doesn't directly have anything to do with this book, I believe Glenn's credibility on matters of searching for truth hinge on his willingness to take an honest look at his faith if he expects Muslims to do the same.

If he can do that, look at the tenants of his own faith with as much scrutiny, then surely he is capable of speaking of truth and Faith with authority. Otherwise this book comes off as criticism of a religion spawned from lies via a questionable source (the archangel Gabriel, nonbiblical) coming from an adherent of another religion spawned from nonbiblical and a questionable sourcesource ( the Angel Moroni) which brings into question his perception of truth.

Much can be said of Mormonism's historically racist past ("The Lord had cursed Cain's seed with blackness and prohibited them the Priesthood." -- Brigham Young)and especially its made up and unverifiable history (ancient semite immigration to america) and supposed links to eqypt (Debunked Carvings Purchased and Altered).

Again, I reiterate, this is not a criticism of the book as such, but rather the trustworthiness of its author.

Love Glenn's work, but pray for his faith to be straightened out.

Every person in America should read this book!

I used to think that Islam was a peaceful religion. Islamism is dangerous. We can choose to ignore the signs or be aware and stand up for the protection of our children, homosexuals, and women. This book was eye-opening and enlightening.

Another fact filled book

Thoroughly researched and explained, it gives the reasons why "It Is About Islam" without resorting to name calling, and going for the emotional gimme. If you are interested in finding out more, it is well worth the price of admission.

Very important read for current situation.

Reveals the core Islamic beliefs, traditions, and history that obstruct the peace process. Rich with references from the Koran and Hadith, as well as historical perspectives from Thomas Jefferson to the modern day media.
