Publisher's summary

The 1964 murder of a nationally known cancer researcher sets the stage for this gripping exposé of medical professionals enmeshed in covert government operations over the course of three decades. Following a trail of police records, FBI files, cancer statistics, and medical journals, this revealing book presents evidence of a web of medical secret-keeping that began with the handling of evidence in the JFK assassination and continued apace, sweeping doctors into coverups of cancer outbreaks, contaminated polio vaccine, the arrival of the AIDS virus, and biological weapon research using infected monkeys.

I started as a simple JFK fan and ended up just blown away by the truth. This is a must read! I bought a hard copy of this after reading. Wonderful book

So much crazy, couldn't put it down

I love conspiracy theories. That said, I normally don't believe them but I'm fascinated by those that do. This book however exceeds conspiracy theories and goes into fascinating detailed facts about the medical establishment in the 50's-60's as well as the political antics of the CIA, the FBI, the mafia, the left AND the right. There is often some truth to conspiracy theories and there is a lot here. I couldn't put the book away.

Not a JFK book per se, but fantastic.

This work seems to be very well researched. Complex story lines are laid out so as to be easily understood. Highly recommend if you're into this topic.

Fascinating and important - I wish everyone would read

How to sum up this book in a way that does it justice? In the context of the Covid19 pandemic, this book is more important than ever. A must read.

Very Interesting - from beginning to end.

Narrator is easy to listen to.
Subject is not stagnant; definately not boring.
Odd areas touched on follow from where the evidence leads. Excellent work.

A “Must Read”!

Well-researched and supported conclusions regarding the death of Dr. Mary Sherman. I appreciated the personal aspect with his father having worked with Sherman.

Further…

Very insightful information re:
1. Soft-cell cancers
2. HIV-AIDS
3. Possibly COVID-19 (my assumption)

New information, for me, was offered regarding Lee Oswald, beyond that of “LBJ: The Mastermind…,” or of “Double-cross.” Oswald was certainly used behind the scenes, by the U.S. Government, in the clandestine operations of the lab described in this book.

Thought provoking

If even a part of this is true; can't understand why our US government would not follow the leads put forth by Mr. Haslam.

A Must Read!

Any additional comments?

Dr. Mary’s Monkey is a compelling, provocative, and well written. Unfortunately, the story is a strong indictment of how far the United States has fallen since World War II. Medical ethics has been thrown out like a pair of old worn out shoes. Mr. Haslam did an excellent job in piecing the puzzle together around the unsolved murder case of a world renowned cancer researcher in New Orleans Dr. Mary Sherman, Lee Harvey Oswald, Clay Shaw, David Ferry and a cast of other characters that also were characters in the unsolved murder of President John F. Kennedy. Well done!
