Publisher's summary

Bill O'Reilly is the very embodiment of the idea of a Culture Warrior, and in this book he lives up to the title brilliantly, with all the brashness and forthrightness at his command. He sees that America is in the midst of a fierce culture war between those who embrace traditional values and those who want to change America into a "secular-progressive" country. This is a conflict that differs in many ways from the usual liberal/conservative divide, but it is no less heated, and the stakes are even higher.

In Culture Warrior, Bill O'Reilly defines this war and analyzes the competing philosophies of the traditionalist and secular-progressive camps. He examines why the nation's motto, E pluribus unum ("From many, one"), might change to "What about me?"; dissects the forces driving the secular-progressive agenda in the media and behind the scenes, including George Soros, George Lakoff, and the ACLU; and dives into matters of race, education, and the war on terror. He also shows how the culture war has played out in such high-profile instances as The Passion of the Christ, Fahrenheit 9/11, the abuse epidemic (child and otherwise), and the embattled place of religion in public life, with special emphasis on the "war against Christmas". Whatever controversies are roiling the nation, he fearlessly confronts them, and no one will be in the dark about which side he's on.

Culture Warrior showcases Bill O'Reilly at his most eloquent and impassioned. He is an unrelenting fighter for the soul of America, and in this book he fights the good fight for the traditional values that have served this country so well for so long.

The best book I've read in years, this book is truly a must read. This is not about right v left, it is about right v wrong.

Wow

I like the attempt at making a collegial discussion over the pre-text of madness and hatred. Conservatism knows no bounds in the dialogue of misguided man-scorned.

I find this book simply fascinating and worth the read, because it is fictitious and can not be seen as anything more than a witty ingestion of systemic trifles. A quick read/listen that will call arms to a battle that doesn't exist...If I may, I would liken this author to a hobo that is trying to jump a moving train, but can never quite make it on to the freight-train called reality.

If we have not yet moved on from this debate and the pure hatred it spews, then I feel sorry for any one that sees this book for anything more than what it really is. He has successfully defined pure white hatred for anything that thinks differently, acts differently or attempts to differentiate fear and compassion for his fellow man and acts upon these things to bring a deeper meaning or relationship from his/her culture to another. This ought not be worthy of bellum gerere, but a defining characteristic of our culture. I believe it was in the Bible that we come to the saying.. Seek and ye shall find Me. I don't see how harboring ill will and putting up walls can allow us to find "His" will?

A MUST READ! For anyone

Whether you like Bill O'Reilly or not you should still read this book. He covers some of the most overlooked topics that are troubling our country. Meaning the stuff that really matters. Listen to the sample audio which is a small portion of the information you'll learn. Like him or not he's always blunt and to the point and brings up important information.

Bill's on FIRE!

Bill O'Reilly doesn't pull any punches here. He tells it like he thinks it is. If you want to know what the Right thinks of the Left, or if you are interested in learning what the Right think the Secular Progressive Movement is all about I would suggest that you start right here, in the No Spin Zone!

conservative centrist

I agree with Bill's assessment of our culture and the bias of the media and Hollywood. The books accurately depicts the opposing cultures. It is written with passion and a patriotic heart.

Interesting, But Not Much New

If you are regularly exposed to Bill's programs, this book offers little in the way of new content. Bill makes some great points in the book, but I was a bit dissapointed to see so many items rehashed from his radio program in particular. I'd imagine that this would be a much more interesting read to someone who doesn't often get exposure to Bill.

If you've always felt. . .

If you've felt there is something amiss in our country, this book may very well open your eyes to one side of the story. Slanted new coverage, sheltered academia, and those who are trying to change the spirit and sense of our country from individualism and self-reliance to who can do for me and what can you give me ideals.

I applauded O'Reilly's wit, honesty, and observations. He credibly articulates an abstract issue and provides examples.

Awesome book. Bill shoots straight from the hip & tells things as they are in a non partisan way. A must read for anyone interested in getting control over the free for all of degredation our country is heading into. There is still hope.

How to irritate the Left and Secular Progressives

If you are an avid listener the Factor radio and TV show on Fox then you will have heard most of this already. It's a an excellent compilation of all Bill has said before and more. I highly recommend it, especially since it's bound to make the Lefties and SP's madder than Hades. It's nice to have it all in one place. Definitely something to listen to again and again.
