In 1964, Little Big Man gave us the reminiscences of Jack Crabb - a white orphan raised among the Cheyenne - who returns to "civilized" society, where (among other things) he tangles with Wyatt Earp and Wild Bill Hickok, and ends up as the only white survivor of Custer's Last Stand. At the end of Little Big Man, Jack's supposed death at age 111 cut short his tale.

Story
I'm Ivy Lane, and if I never see another faerie again, it'll be too soon. Twenty years after the faeries came and destroyed the world as we knew it, I use my specialist skills to keep rogue faeries in line and ensure humans and their magically gifted neighbors can coexist (relatively) peacefully. Nobody knows those skills came from the darkest corner of Faerie itself. When a human child disappears, replaced with a faerie changeling, I have to choose between taking the safe road or exposing my own history with the faeries to the seductively dangerous head of the Mage Lords.

Story
There once was a killer who knew the night, its secrets and rhythms. How to hide within its shadows. When to hunt. He roamed from town to town, city to city, choosing his prey for their beauty and innocence. His cruelties were infinite, his humanity long since forfeit. But still... he had not yet discovered how to make his special mark among monsters, how to come fully alive as Death. This is the story of how he learned those things, and of what we might do to ensure that he does not visit us.

Even in small towns, restless spirits and malevolent forces walk the streets. Oscar Mendoza knows this from personal experience. Mendoza can't remember a time when he couldn't see the spirits all around him. He does remember, however, when he first became unsettled by the experience. The year was 1980, and he was only four years old. He had been warned by his parents to never go down a certain alley in their town, but Mendoza decided to ignore their warning.

Story
A country girl named Polly is visiting city friends and comes to realize that this world is quite different than which she has left. Here people are judged according to their dress and manner of speech rather than for their honesty and hard work. Yet all who meet Polly cannot help but be enamored of her; her sweet simplicity is unlike any that they have ever seen, and soon everyone comes to realize that Polly is not someone to be laughed at and ridiculed, but someone to put upon a pedestal for failing to become willing prey to the cynicism of the times.

It has become the most famous classic Christmas story of all, with the miserly figure of Scrooge, the epitome of the callous employer; sadly crippled Tiny Tim; and the three spectres: the ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future. This audiobook continues the award-winning series of Dickens' works read by leading English classical actor Anton Lesser.

Publisher's summary
Some people are fascinated with the paranormal, and simply want to see something for themselves. Others feel compassion for these spirits, and are convinced that the only reason they are still on the planet is because they are not at rest....
Regardless of why they're here, it's important to know that they really are, and these stories are here to prove it.
I'm not going to tell you things people made up to scare you. I'm not going to tell you the urban legends or the old wives' tales people like to share around campfires or during sleepovers. I'm not going to tell you things that have been explained but that others try to blame on the paranormal....
No, in this book, I'm only going to tell you the tales that are true. The true paranormal experiences from around the world that are sure to keep you up at night. These stories come from everywhere - little country roads in the middle of Kentucky to incredible subway networks running underneath Sweden and everywhere in between.
Get ready to embark on a journey of the supernatural, and get a glimpse of the real-life things that take place in the world around you, every single day. These are the stories that can't be explained, just told....
Here's a preview of what's in this book....
- The Eternal Resident of Apartment 514
- The Crawlspace Creature
- The Murdered Mistress of the Library
- England's Unfriendly Fairies
- The Terrifying Life in the Porcelain Doll
- The Mysterious Handprints on the Glass

Most Creepiest Stories Ever
If you could sum up Creepy Short Stories: A Ghost Hunters' Paradise in three words, what would they be?
CREEPY AS HELL
What other book might you compare Creepy Short Stories: A Ghost Hunters' Paradise to and why?
I have only heard one other book on a series of ghosts and paranormal activity. So I really can't compare much. If I had to choose a favor., I would choose this book because it creeped me out to where I was a little shook up towards the end of the book with the last 3 or 4 stories.
What about Lynn Roberts’s performance did you like?
He read it as it was supposed too. Real/True
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
"It will terrify you"Not sure what else I would use.

That was a fun listen!
I listened to these stories while hand looming and watching a storm roll in ushered abruotly along by very stiff winds. It was great fun. These are not horror stories but rather interesting stories about paranormal activities. I truly enjoyed them. There are places I have never heard of before that I will look up to learn more about - Mt.Tarrawera in New Zealand, Epping Forest in Great Britain. There are manifestations I have never heard about from dolls to boxes. I personally liked the narrator. He spoke very clearly so all I had to do was listen! I am glad I purchased this book - again, a fun and interesting read.

Who thought it was a good idea for this man to narrate books?
Nothing personal against Lynn Roberts. I'm sure he's a lovely person. But you need to have more than a pleasant sounding voice and decent diction to be a good storyteller. I think the stories might have been okay but I can't tell you for sure because the narration was so monotonous I had to stop after the first two.
