Publisher's summary

The foundations of capitalism are being battered by a flood of altruism, which is the cause of the modern world's collapse. This was the view of Ayn Rand, a view so radically opposed to prevailing attitudes that it constituted a major philosophic revolution. In this series of essays, she presented her stand on the persecution of big business, the causes of war, the default of conservatism, and the evils of altruism. Here is a challenging look at modern society by a woman who was one of the most provocative intellectuals on the American scene. Ms. Rand's unique philosophy, Objectivism, has gained a worldwide audience.

really nails down ayn rand ideals and perspectives

probably one of the best ayn rand books to accurately get her exact perspective on just about every permutation of capitalism and objectivism. also many criticisms of all other ideologies from governments fascism, and communism to even more niche and innocuous enemies of rationality and human rights.

An unashamed and bold defense of Capitalism.

For those who want to understand why Capitalism needs defending against the perpetually looming threat of a ever encroaching, abusive and soul corrupting statist government. As well as for those who want to know how Capitalism is intrinsically linked to the development and growth of individual rights as a stop gap to the often irrational tribalistic collectivist abuses of past, present and future governments. Governments who often target and act against the lone dissenting individual in society.

Excellent book on true Capitalism

While the content of this book is kind of dated, it seems like it is still very applicable in today’s world. Capitalism gets a bad rap, and this book does a wonderful job explaining its benefits.

What a mind!

This book will open your eyes on how we have been made slaves by our corrupt politicians. The material is so current even though it was written decades ago. It is nice to know the full reasoning for why I believe so completely in Capitalism and Freedom. These concepts should be taught in public schools, but I guess it might take away from time wasted on Global warming.
