Publisher's summary

In this explosive account of wrongful acts and ongoing cover-ups, Jesse Ventura takes a systematic look at the wide gap between what the American government knows and what it reveals to the American people.

For too long, we the people have sat by and let politicians and bureaucrats from both parties obfuscate and lie. And according to this former Navy SEAL, former pro wrestler, and former Minnesota governor, the media is complicit in these acts of deception. For too long, the mainstream press has refused to consider alternate possibilities and to ask the tough questions. Here, Ventura looks closely at the theories that have been presented over the years and separates the fact from the fiction.

In Ventura's eyes, the murder of Abraham Lincoln and the assassinations of the Kennedys and Martin Luther King all need to be reexamined. Was Watergate presented honestly, or was the CIA involved? Did the Republican Party set out to purposefully steal two elections on behalf of George W. Bush? Has all the evidence been presented about the 9/11 attacks, or is there another angle that the media is afraid to explore? And finally, is the collapse of today's financial order and the bailout plan by the Federal Reserve the widest-reaching conspiracy ever perpetrated?

Jesse still has a LOT to learn!

I've loved Jesse since his wrestling days... he still doesn't realize that ALL government is corrupt, not just the republicans. He really needs to get past his "left vs right" paradigm... it's outdated and proven to be a smoke screen! They're all puppets for the globalist NWO cabal! I hope since this was released, Jesse has awakened to the fact the both parties work together to form the "uniparty" and they will work to enslave us however they can.

Interesting

Great book, very interesting BUT the narrator is so boring and monotone. This book could have kept my attention 100% more with a lively narrator.

to monotone reading

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

might be better if I could read it myself, but eye sight doesn't allow for it.

What other book might you compare American Conspiracies to and why?

can not think of any. I like mysteries and books that make me able visulize the action.

What aspect of George K. Wilson’s performance would you have changed?

what wouldn't I have

Could you see American Conspiracies being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

not at all

Any additional comments?

no

Interesting but not balanced...

Makes a non left or right topic to political. Too much bashing of the right (which is deserving at times) and many excuses for the left. These facts made me wonder if there is a conspiracy by the author to put too much blame on the right... Without this obvious bias, great book that WILL make you think...

Lots of things you didn't know but should

Not your typical "conspiracy" type book. Actually well presented and tells truths that most Americans do not know but should.
I lived in MN when Jesse was elected governor. I always thought he had run just to raise the ratings of his radio program and thought he was just as surprised as the media when he actually won. Though he ran as an Independent, in office he acted more like a Republican than he comes across as in this book. If he had acted according to the attitudes he presents here, he would have been begged to governor again. Anyhow, he presents some very interesting facts here that every American should know. For instance, did you know that John Wilkes Booth was not a "lone assassin" when he shot Lincoln? It is known that he was part of a conspiracy and was part of a group that attempted other assassinations that same night, but our history books keep telling the same story over and over. I won't spoil it by telling you some of the more interesting things Jesse reveals. You need to listen for yourself, decide for yourself. You need to be informed -- and if the media won't tell you, maybe you'll let Jesse tell you.

This definitely got me thinking.

What did you like best about this story?

While I can't agree with all the claims, there are many elements that cause me to wonder how much more there is to the stories of global conspiracies.

Any additional comments?

You cannot fairly dismiss conspiracy books without hearing the controversies for yourself. There are many provocative points that one must consider. As the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's fire. I would recommend this book to others.
I don't believe everything the government, nor conspiracy theorists say equally. But I am open to consider all points to make up my own mind.

Thank you, Jesse Ventura, for standing up.

Would you listen to American Conspiracies again? Why?

Because it has SO much information and the content is so important.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

It has a timeline buildup, including the last 50 years, leading up to the present times and threats that are immediately ahead. Several of his estimates have now come true, since the book was written. It is like a road map to America's future, but it is not pretty.

What about George K. Wilson’s performance did you like?

Good clear voice
