Publisher's summary

Is America a source of pride, as Americans have long held, or shame, as Progressives allege? Beneath an innocent exterior, are our lives complicit in a national project of theft, expropriation, oppression, and murder? Or is America still the hope of the world?

New York Times best-selling author Dinesh D'Souza says these questions are no mere academic exercise. It is the Progressive view that is taught in our schools, that is preached by Hollywood, and that shapes the policies of the Obama administration. If America is a force for inequality and injustice in the world, its power deserves to be diminished; if traditional America is based on oppression and theft, then traditional America must be reformed - and the federal government can do the reforming.

In America: Imagine a World Without Her D'Souza offers a passionate and sharply reasoned defense of America, knocking down every important accusation made by Progressives against our country.

Provocative in its analysis, stunning in its conclusions, Dinesh D'Souza's America will be the most talked about audiobook of the year.

Educational and Informative

Would you listen to America again? Why?

All about history and how America became what she is today. The information is vast and most interesting. A real learning experience for me, as my knowledge of world history is limited. The fire to learn more has been sparked.

Which character – as performed by Walter Dixon – was your favorite?

Walter Dixon's reading performance was pleasant to the ear and easy to understand.

What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?

Learning how great countries originate, thrive and fail was eye-opening. I know this is one person's point of view, but history is history.

Should be required reading in highschool.

A well-written, well-researched, and brilliant book. A definite life-changer in many ways. You'll wish it were longer. I loved it.

A must read about the fascist (dem) in America

Dinesh calls them progressives, just the American term for fascist. Goes over how the fascist have been slowly subverting the Law of the Declaration and Constitution. It will give you a great deal,to think about, enjoy. Let's take back our America.

The most important book I have ever read!

What did you love best about America?

D'Souza's ability to explain how "Progressive-ism" has dismantled the America of 1776 and how it began in the 1960's. Excellent book that must be read by all Americans.

What about Walter Dixon’s performance did you like?

Very well done. Easy to understand and listen to.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Scared the Hell out of me.

Truth that America needs to hear

What did you love best about America?

I have always love the way Dinesh writes. His orderly thinking and ability to show the truth and progressive's misdirection of the truth. His ability to juxtapose their common rants against common sense brings clarity and understanding.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

Dinesh's love for the US. You could hear his appreciation for our heritage and the hope for a better future than what lays ahead of us.

Have you listened to any of Walter Dixon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to Walter Dixon before. I normally get a book for the writer not the reader. he has a nice voice that was easy to listen to. At the begining of the book, when it transistion from dinesh to Walter, I barely notice the transistion.

If you could give America a new subtitle, what would it be?

Wake up America! you are being guilted into failure.

Any additional comments?

I am thankful that America was available on Audible. I had a hard time getting a hardback copy. I ordered two books, one from Amazon three weeks ago and still have not seen it and one from Barnes and Noble that just arrived yesterday. Sad they are falling into the conspiracy theorist preception of banning or retarding the sale of books.

Poor narrator

This book was very good, but the narrator was bad. I would recommend reading this book in your Kindle.

Fantastic!

I had watched the video of the book previously but wanted to learn more in detail. Both are amazing and enlightening. Absolutely loved it.

Great Book - Telling the Truth about America

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Every 5th or 6th grade class should have this book as a study guide to help our kids avoid the slanted and deceptive way American History is now being taught.
