Some unexpected topics. I personally love when the author narrates or reads the book but it was a great book regardless.

I've always looked at Messier as a role model...

I've always looked at Messier as a role model growing up in Philly even though I am a Flyers fan thru and thru, Messier was always that prototypical player/leader that I tried to emulate in my own hockey game. I really enjoyed learning Mark had a normal life off the ice even though his star shown extremely bright on it. I will listen to this audiobook multiple times in the future. Thanks Mark for sharing.

Leadership not just hockey

This book is not just a hockey book, it is an excellent example of what it takes to be a great leader and the lessons learned could be applied to any facet of life.

Mark Messier shares so many meaningful nuggets - both from his illustrious hockey career as well as from life itself. Definitely a favorite take-away is recognizing just how many people have helped me achieve any success I’ve ever had.

I absolutely enjoyed listening to this book. The story was very well told, I loved hearing from his childhood all the way through to his retirement, the good and the bad. In the mini life lessons that are in this book are incredible. Somebody that runs a company, does open my eyes to create a few new opportunities I will have

MM is the Man! Great story and incredible career. Any young athlete should listen to this story.

Narrator was excellent

Will Reeve made the story come alive. I felt like I was listening to Mark Messier. He wasn’t overacting he just spoke normally and clearly, and with the right expression. He is the best narrator of all the sports books I’ve listened to so far.
