Publisher's summary

In 1972, during the Black Power Movement, iconoclast Dick Gregory challenged one of the foundations of America itself - its history, which had been written almost exclusively from the white male perspective. In No More Lies, this true trailblazer gave voice to African Americans, speaking their truth about the past and race relations in the United States.

No More Lies offers this incomparable satirist’s intellectual, conspiratorial, and humorous spin on the facts. No subject is off limits from his critical eye - Gregory examines numerous aspects of culture and history, from the slave trade, police brutality, the wretchedness of working-class life and labor unions to the 1968 Civil Rights Act, the Founding Fathers, “happy slaves”, and entrepreneurs.

Although this absorbing book is more than 40 years old, its provocative truths continue to reverberate in our lives today. With No More Lies, Gregory inspire a new generation to connect what is happening today with what has happened in the past.

Entangling & Entralling

This is 3rd audio book from D.G. and I enjoyed every minute of it. The way he breaks up the fallacies woven within the very fabric of what this country preaches really makes one wonder just how many rights they can take away. *Abortion* 10/10; would recommend

My Hertiages

I learned more about my heritage which is Indian and black.. I will never understand how white people can be so cruel, or how they could want to own another human being, and treat them like they are not human. I am proud to be black and part Indian. My Grandmother was Indian which she never really talked about with me or my brother. I did not find out about her being Indian until she showed me her pictures of when she was on the reservation. God created everyone , and God wants as to love everyone. I am glad to know that all white people are not bad. That gives me some hope for the human race.

Maybe the most underrated author in American history.

As important today as it was when it was written. Incredible performance also. Kudos, Prentice!

This book is a treasure.

Our dear brother Gregory is amongst the greatest master teachers we have ever had. Listening to this book it felt like he was speaking directly to me. I thoroughly enjoyed the great knowledge given to me from this book just as many others he has written. Thank you brother Gregory, you are still with us. We love you.

Relevant and Eye Opening

Dick Gregory knocks down some of the most controversial understandings of the American Mythology. The emphasis on how togetherness has been systematically destroyed by our Government and those bigoted enough to push forward a failing systen
