When Clay picked up Julia from the airport on her first visit to see him in New York.

What about Teddy Hamilton and Vanessa Edwin’s performance did you like?
His sensual voice, her fierceness, and their passion really comes across in the narration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely! I listened to it at work; probably not the best idea, but I couldn't wait until I got home.

This was a re-re-re-re-listen for me but this time it was because the book was re-written in the 1st person and rerecorded with new dual narration so I just had to hear it for myself!

Clay is a HOT lawyer who just wants honesty and happiness. Julia is Clay's perfect women but she can't give him complete honesty. These two scorched my ears from the night they met and it just got hotter and hotter from there. It doesn't really have a cliffhanger, more just ends at a spot for the story to continue with the 2nd book which is always good. Clay & Julia will always be my favorite Lauren Blakely characters because they were my first!!!

Gotta say I was a little leery about the revisions because I love this book so much but hearing it in 1st person and with Teddy & Vanessa just made it even hotter!!! Love both the narrators so it wasn't a hard sell for me ;)

Can’t get enough!!

All I can say is Clay is one hot man! The chemistry between Julia, a sexy bartender, and Clay, a smoking hot lawyer, can't be denied! This book is terrific! Lauren has me wanting more, more, more! Narration was fantastic!!

Smoking HOT!

I've read all of Lauren's books. She is such a wonderful writer. They are all different, but the thing that she does that I love is there is always some sort of connection to her other books. Whether it be a character or a song, or a clothing choice. When I start to read one of her books, I get excited to see where the connection will be!! Lauren's books have steamy sexiness and dirty talkers but this book. Oh. My. It's so hot. Clay has such a dirty mouth and he's so hot! Julia is his match in every way. Wit, sexiness, humor and ideas about what will give the most pleasure to the other. We've got bondage and limo sex (HOT) We have dinner table orgasms and kitchen table interactions. Clay and Julia are so hot that the one night they shared in San Francisco wasn't enough. Now they realized that they actually like one another and want to know more. Will they be able to make it work?

Audio: Teddy and Vanessa killed this audio. I am dead. They are the perfect choices for this steamy sexy romance!

I really enjoy Lauren Blakely’s books and this series has shot to the top of my list. I love this couple and they have the steamiest relationship. As always, Vanessa Edwin and Teddy Hamilton fit the characters with their sexy voices. I often have to pass on Lauren Blakely’s because she uses Sebastian York (🤢) and Andi Arndt so much of the time and they are my LEAST favorite narrators. Sebastian York sounds like that actor MC Gainey and nothing about him is sexy to me.

I wanted to like this, but…

The dialog is like teenagers are talking. Witty would be nice if they’re going to flirt, but if that’s not possible, how about not unsophisticated.
