An old broad that enjoys books of all types. Would rather read than write reviews though. I know what I like, and won't be bothered by crap.

      Story
"Who would have thunk it? Perry has a good idea!"
Would you listen to The New Yorker, January 30th 2012 (Jonah Lehrer, Nick Paumgarten, Adam Gopnik) again? Why?

I doubt it. If I needed the information in it, than I would, otherwise I have too many other things to listen to.

Who was your favorite character and why?

No characters, this is a magazine. Governor Rick Perry's idea for the Supreme Court was an interesting thing to think about. Would it keep the Court from being too political? I don't know.

      Which scene was your favorite?

In the story of the Bartender/ former fighter, I enjoyed his daughter's essay on her father and the quest to reclaim his legacy in Kosovo. The story itself seemed a little long, but I listened to it in it's entirety.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

GroupThink was an excellent story about brainstorming and what we thought we knew about it and what are the actual facts were illuminating. This article made me want to check out the books that the author talks about.

      Any additional comments?

I could do away with the movie reviews. Most of the movies are not something I would be interested in seeing.
I love the magazine because it makes me think and expands my horizons.
      Keep up the good work!
