Publisher's summary

Once in a lifetime, a writer puts it all together. This is James Patterson's best work ever.

Total

For 36 years, James Patterson has written unstopable, pulse-racing novels. Now, he has written an audiobook that surpasses all of them. Zoo is the thriller he was born to write.

World

All over the world, brutal attacks are crippling entire cities. Jackson Oz, a young biologist, watches the escalating events with an increasing sense of dread. When he witnesses a coordinated lion ambush in Africa, the enormity of the violence to come becomes terrifyingly clear.

Destruction

With the help of ecologist Chloe Tousignant, Oz races to warn world leaders before it's too late. The attacks are growing in ferocity, cunning, and planning, and soon there will be no place left for humans to hide. With wildly inventive imagination and white-knuckle suspense that rivals Stephen King at his very best, James Patterson's Zoo is an epic, nonstop thrill ride from "One of the best of the best" (Time).

love the book

Started with the tv show, wanting to wait until vacation to get the book but after I got the book I couldn't believe it took me so long to get it.

Great Read

Loved it. Kept me interested. Suspenseful. Story made you think about how things are now and how they could be in the future.

Thank you Mr. Patterson!

Intense, relevant, topical and a little too close to home, which all made for a great tale. It had me at the edge of my seat, holding my breath for what came next. Our hero had a quick wit, humorous at times, with a twist of occasional sarcasm. thoroughly enjoyed it, start to finish. Thank you Mr. Patterson.

Got here from the show

a few chapters in you start to realize the show took quite a few liberties to change the story. regardless this was pretty enjoyable but some chapters tgat introduces a group to show the danger of animals sometimes takes too muxj time buikding a backstory for characters tgat arr pretty muxh fodder fir plot violence/animal attacks. the way humans deak with issues presented at the end is very frustrating as well. wish it was a little longer, a little less fluffed for characters that dont reakky matter and made femake characters slightly more important that merely attractive side characters

Great book and recording.

A cliffhanger the only bad thing about this book is its hard to put down at one point I drove around the block just to listen to a bit more.

Great Action !!!

Seemed a bit slow toward the end but quote a page Turner for first 3/4 of this book. I am impressed with this author being able to tell a great story about a subject matter different from his well known genre.

A fantastic 3 day, almost non-stop listen!

Loved it and was breathless and amazed at all the turns and twists as the story wove itself out in unexpected directions. Glad it is different from the movie, which is also dramatic. It's like two amazing tales , both leaving one breathless. Will humans survive?, ?, ?

Just WOW

There are not many books that captivate me like this one did. While I yearned for a different ending, listening to the epilogue 3 times helped me get over it and accept the authors choice of endings.

Great; but that ending...

The story was engaging and entertaining, and the narrator's performance was decent. The ending, however, left me feeling distinctly underwhelmed.

Different

I had watched to TV series and could not get over how the show had very little to do with the book.
