Hoping for more

The was the worse James Patterson book I have read. I finished the book only because I was hoping it would get better. But the ending was a dissappointment, it didn't tie together all the things that had happened to the character.

This book is not up to the standards I expect from Patterson. Maybe the coauther wrote most of it?

Where is James Patterson?

What's up with Patterson and adultery lately? This is the worst Patterson book ever and possibly the worst I have ever read. Parts of it were actually painful to listen to. I only made it through the whole book because I was on a trip and had nothing else to listen to. The author should definitely consider going back to his roots! Bring back Cross and the WMC, please!!!!

WASTED TIME

At the beginning of this section - you asked for a star rating of this book. You do not have what I would like to submit - which is a -Star. I must say that this is the most disappointing book I have ever had. James Patterson is one of mine and my husbands favorite authors. We could absolutely not see any of his work in this book. Clearly he just put his name on the cover to help this author sell his very poor book. I will not be reading any more of this authors - and I will thoroughly investigate any more of Patterson's. Also, the reader was not the best of choices either. It was a very big struggle to get through this book. When you are accustomed to an author - you assume that anything with his name on it is good quality. He usually keeps readers on their toes as you go through the book - this time - it was just so unbelievable and dull. Wish I had read reviews before purchasing. Learned my lesson I guess. Readers beware - belongs in fantasy way out there section.

I have read EVERY book that James Patterson has written or co-written and this is the worst ever. Do not waste your time reading it. If this is your first James Patterson book, don't judge him by this book alone.

What does Ilyana Kadushin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I kept hoping this book would get better or find a different path. It was just not very good.

Couldn't Agree More!

I agree with all reviewers except for Michelle, who liked the book. The narrator was terrible - chirpy and perky even during the particularly grim parts. She sounded like a bubble-headed cheerleader discussing death. The narrator was, unfortunately, not the only problem with this book. The characters were unsympathetic, the ending was a disappointment, it was choppy and hard to follow. It's hard to believe Patterson put his name on this. I didn't read the reviews before buying because it was Patterson - a sure bet. I will definitely not make that mistake again.

Bizzare

While I really love James Patterson's books and have read almost all of them, I am having trouble getting through this one. I am seriously thinking of wasting the money spent and not finishing it. Definitely NOT one of my favorites.

You've been warned!!!

There must have been some mix-up somewhere and Patterson's name was inadvertently added as an author. My disappointment is so great that I don't know exactly how to express just how dull, blah, lackluster, uninspiring, drab, humdrum and boring this book was. I was not able to force myself to finish. I feel cheated and will certainly think twice -- no three or four times-- before buying anymore of James Patterson's new books. (His books before this one have been great). Anyway, "You've Been Warned", "Don't Waste Your Time".

I'm not crazy

I thought something was wrong with me because I hated this book so much. I had to call a friend that listened to it also just to find out if she actually liked it. (needless to say, she hated it too) I was so relieved when I read the reviews here and it's pretty clear that just about everyone has hated it so far.
