Publisher's summary

Kristin Burns is making her way in New York City. Her photos are being considered at a major Manhattan gallery, she works by day with two wonderful children, and the man of her dreams is almost hers for keeps. But just as everything she's ever wanted is finally within reach, her life changes forever with one murderous nightmare.

Kristin wakes up every morning from the same chilling, unforgettable dream. And suddenly, it's visiting her during the day too. As her life turns stranger by the minute, Kristin is haunted and terrified. Is it all in her head? Or is the nightmare becoming her life? Kristin searches desperately for what's real through the lens of her camera, only knowing two things for sure: that no place is safe and the fate of everyone she loves lies in her hands.

Don't bnother

I have been a James Patterson fan for years, but I have been very disappointed by this and The Quickie. I kept hoping they would get better...they never did. Go for his older stuff, don't bother with this.

Awful narrator

This would probably be a good audiobook if the narrator didn't come across as so insincere. She sounds like an over dramatic bad actress. I'm having trouble listening to it for more than 10-15 minutes at a time and it is ruining the story for me.

Disappointing

I was VERY disappointed in this book. I love all of Patterson's books and have also enjoyed books he co-authored, but not this one. It was a struggle to finish. Another Patterson fan tried it and stopped listening after the 1st CD due to lack of interest. Don't waste your money or time on it.

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

AVOID IT! The very WORST Patterson ever! I love James Patterson and wanted to heave my iPod out the window as I listened. We should be paid to listen to this one...for the pain and suffering. If you are a Patterson fan, listen to an old book twice and maintain your positive image of him.

It must have seemed like a good idea at the time.

My family and I have been a passionate fan of James Patterson, but this last collaboration left us all wondering how this particular item made it to press and Audible Books. My wife and daughter could not endur past 2 CDs. I was traveling and listened to the unabridged version from Audible. The end that replicated the beginnig could not and did not come soon enough.

Not a Patterson

This is the worst of any book Patterson has put his name on. I hope that LLyana Kadushin does not get the opportunity to read any more books because her voice is disturbing and not one I could listen to for 6 hours. I stopped the book after one hour. The story is spooky and not very believable. I do not recommended it to anyone!!!

Terrible

This is one of the worst I have ever tried to listen to. I don't think I will be able to finish it. Very disappointing! I usually like all of James Patterson's work but definitely not this one.

Will get into your head...

I read (listened to) this book several years ago. Normally I wouldn't dream of writing a review for a book I read so long ago, as I wouldn't trust my memory to accurately convey anything other than maybe a general feeling.

But this is the kind of book that gets in your head, and doesn't leave. Ever. I have read dozens of James Patterson novels. To be perfectly honest, most of them have run together, melded, and overlapped in my head so that I could hardly tell you what's what, or even which ones I have or haven't read! (He cranks them out so quickly!) But this one? I remember VERY clearly, and recommend it to anyone who enjoys psychological thrillers.

It's such a unique story with such an unusual approach, I am hesitant to even try to describe the plot. I think I will simply say that it's a tale about deception, infidelity, obsession, and having to endure the ultimate punishment for one's own actions.

Quantity doesn't mean quality.

After five weeks on the NY Times Best Seller list, I assumed that this book was a must buy for me. Just because so many James Patterson fans BOUGHT this book, it does not reflect on its content. It was the worst book I have ever listened to. He should work alone! This book does not in any way show off his true talent.
