Witness to Myself

Fifteen years ago, teenager Alan Benning jogged off a beach – and into a nightmare. Because what awaited him in the Cape Cod woods was an unspeakable temptation, a moment of panic, and a brutal memory that would haunt him for the rest of his life. Now a successful lawyer, Alan finds himself drawn back to the scene of the crime, desperate to learn the truth about what happened on that long-ago summer day. Love having someone read me a story. Fires in the hearth, rain on the roof, sunny days and surf. Good friends, good food and J S Bach.

    "response rather than review"

In the style of a 'true crime' account, this story explores the doubt and fear of a young man. It is a disturbing tale. What did happen?
If you like the true crime style of story, you may find more in 'Witness to Myself' than I did.
Generally the 'lambic' label is providing some really good stories, and examples of fine creative writing. I would put this in that category. I simply did not 'enjoy' the story.
