Where does Winterkill rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a good story. To begin with I did not think that I would be a fan of CJ Box, but I really enjoy his Joe Pickett series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Winterkill?

The explosion of the compound and the death of little April.

Which character – as performed by David Chandler – was your favorite?

Nate Rama..... I enjoyed his characterization. I hope we see or hear from Nate again.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Both.

    Any additional comments?

Joe appears to be a good guy who tries to do the right thing regardless of the outcome. Very, very, very few people live life this way.

    "CYA"

Joe Pritchard game warden, husband, and father steps out to do his job and law enforcements job in his corner of the world. Along the way he deals with a lot of good guys that are truly bad, and a lot of bad Guys that are not at all as bad as the good guys say the are.
A great story about honor and doing what you say you are going to do

Joe Pickett is a great character and he gives us a honest look of a America few know in States with fewer residents than most big American cities. This is another great ride.

    "Enjoy the series!"

My husband and I really enjoy these stories while driving. They are well written and very descriptive and aren't easy to figure out "who done it" which we like. Unpredictable and very enjoyable.

"Wyoming adventure that is expertly narrated."
What about David Chandler’s performance did you like?

David Chandler nailed the feel of the story. I originally read this book in print some years back and decided to get caught up on all the Joe Pickett novels so I binged from Open Season all the way through. I love that Mr. Chandler's narration didn't try to add anything to the story, rather he let the story flow and the narration seemed to fade into the background and I found myself following along as if I was reading it myself. I have had other books where poor narration has ruined amazing storytelling. Not the case here.
