A Short Read.

This book was a good read, it my interest all the way to the end I was surprised how it ended. The narrator was also entertaining and interesting to listen to. Continue with the good writing.

Nice, Solid Suspense Short Story

WINTER WONDERLAND was an enjoyable listen. It had solid characters. Trouble seems to follow Dallas, the protagonist wherever he goes but it pays off. Although a little cliche, I liked the character and name of Sandy Beech and his sisters, Virginia and Myrtle. T. LEE HARRIS wrote a good little mystery and I'd like to hear more. I wish it'd been a little longer but hopefully there's a book two from this.

DARREN MARLAR did a nice job narrating this story. He had a good read on the characters and their nuances. I liked his voice, he was well-paced and overall made this a better listen.

Unexpectedly good!

What did you love best about Winter Wonderland?

The polka dot car, of course.

What other book might you compare Winter Wonderland to and why?

Male version of Stephanie Plum a little bit. Little being key word. Since it was rather short.

What about Darren Marlar’s performance did you like?

He was superb! Just carried the story right along with a pleasing voice

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I guess my biggest reaction is that I was so surprised such a short book could be as good as it was. I still like the longer books and more character building and so on but was very pleased with this. I look forward to more.

Any additional comments?

Great Narration, Good Characters

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it's short but punchy - I liked it though I'm not a great fan of detective stories, the narration was excellent - characters really sounded different and the characters were full of life - even in the short time the book takes to be complete, you can identify with them. I just wanted it to continue :)

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

I had guessed it might be and it came together a little too quickly I think, but it was good

Have you listened to any of Darren Marlar’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

no, but I liked this one and would look for him as a narrator

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

no, I enjoyed it all

Any additional comments?

Good short story - I very much enjoyed listening

This is a short mystery, for former FBI agent turned Insurance Investigator to solve during winter's fury.Between cat problems and car trouble getting the job done isn't easy.

The narration was well done, a fun listen.

a great who dunnit

Any additional comments?

This is a good story. Slow at some points but that doesn't really hurt the overall story. There is some great suspense an it keeps you guessing as to who dunnit. The characters are performed well by the narrator. I truly enjoyed this book. If your looking for a quick read (about 2 hours) that has suspense mystery an even a few giggle moments then this is the book your looking for.

What does Darren Marlar bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

to me he just read it and did not really get into the emotions and such of the story characters

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

not really

Any additional comments?
