Accent that double

I love Janet Evanovich's series with Stephanie and Diesel. However, moving from Jersey to Mass, the accents are VERY different...except with this reader. I enjoy her work in Jersey. But, she needs better work on the regional accents. The main character came from Virginia--not a southern note heard. She works with Massachusetts--Salem at that!--people and they all sound like her! I know she can do better. Especially since she's working with fun material that people already enjoy.

Long time Evanovich fan

This was not my favorite. Don't get me wrong, it's still a good book and it's still worth reading. But, comparing it to any Stephanie Plum books, or even the first Wicked book leaves it lacking. The story just doesn't plow as smoothly as previous books. And it simply wasn't as funny as the other one. I'm still going to be following this series, but I hope this was just a lull.

This book would rank among my top 5 audio books (Come to think of it all my top five audio books are Janet Evanovich.)

What was one of the most memorable moments of Wicked Business?

Anarchy and her blow torch. She is a riot and I would love to see her in the next book! "Wait what was I saying again?"

Which scene was your favorite?

When Flo and Lizzie threw enchanted flour on Anarchy and turned her into a statue.

This series has been a laugh out loud detective romance book.

I am now going through Diesel withdrawals. Need more Lizzie and Diesel!I love Lorelei King as a narrator!

Another Fun Story from Janet Evanovich

A fun spinoff from the Stephanie Plum series. A little paranormal - a little romance - a great reading diversion! Enjoyed the story and really enjoyed the performance by Lorelei King.

No, but would love to listen to her again. Great performance.

When I finished the book I got a bit depressed as I will miss all the characters until the next book comes out. Would love to listen to the next one as well, and hopefully with the same reader, who did an excellent job.

This is one of the funniest books I ever read. Great characters, excellent narrator. Found myself laughing out often and from a healthy place. Ending sucked, but still can't wait for the next one.

Anyone with Hatchett and Glow in it. Hilarious.
