"KEPT ME WONDERING HOW IT WOULD ALL TURN OUT..."

An enjoyable story that kept me interested in the outcome constantly. It's another hit for MHC. It's difficult to review more details without being a spoiler. Well worth the "read"

Now, the narrator - not so much at all. It was my first listen for this narrator and most likely my last.

    "Not for me"
Would you try another book from Mary Higgins Clark and/or Lindsay Crouse?

I would and have read and listened to other books by Mary Higgins Clark, but I have never listened to one read by Lindsay Crouse before and I will never select another book narrated by her again. I am a Mary Higgins Clark fan, however.

What was most disappointing about Mary Higgins Clark’s story?

It's not a pleasant topic but most of all, the monotone narration brought nothing of value to the story at all.

Would you be willing to try another one of Lindsay Crouse’s performances?

    No.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Yes, as always, Mary Higgins Clark brings a resolution to the story. There was no way to make this an entirely happy ending, but she ended it justly and as satisfactorily as possible given the subject matter.

    Any additional comments?

I can't recommend this book, but if it were read by another narrator, it might make a difference. The topic is pertinent in today's world, but this rendering did not do it justice.
