Publisher's summary

Marnie Logan often feels like she's being watched. Nothing she can quite put her finger on - a whisper of breath on the back of her neck, or a shadow in the corner of her eye - and now her life is frozen. Her husband Daniel has been missing for more than a year.

Depressed and increasingly desperate, she seeks the help of clinical psychologist Joe O'Loughlin. Joe is concerned by Marnie's reluctance to talk about the past, but then she discovers a book packed with pictures, interviews with friends, former teachers, old flames and workmates Daniel was preparing for her birthday. It was supposed to be a celebration of her life. But it's not the story anyone was expecting...

Fantastic Listen

Michael Robotham is an amazing author - I love his character therapist Joe O’Loughlin
In this novel Joe has a client names Marnie. Marnie has experienced several devastating personal trajedies and is seeing Joe because of the current tragedy - her husband has been missing for over a year - and she does not have the money to continue supporting herself and her 2 children
Then Marnie discovers a journal/picture book that her husband had been making for her as a surprise before he disappeared - and that is when things get worse.
Is someone watching Marnie, or is she suffering from a dissociative disorder?
You will have to read the book to find out

Sean Barrett as always was amazing with the delivery of the story

Brilliant series, by brilliant author.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It's not very often that an author this good comes along. Michael Robotham is an excellent writer, crafting his writing elegantly and without unnecessary flourish. He dialogue is clever and shines when a good narrator such as Sean Barrett performs it. The only other narrator to better Barrett performing Robotham was Crispin Redman performing The Suspect. His voices were just wonderful - especially for the policeman Ruiz. Books of this quality are hard to put down; you want them to go on forever. The plot was intelligent and original, and the ending extremely satisfying and it left me with a smile. If you're reading this, you must love a good mystery/thriller but don't like wasting your time or a credit on a mediocre book.
I can assure you this book is definitely not mediocre. It will tick all your boxes and more. Please buy it and enjoy!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Watching You?

For me, the entire book shines, without any particular moment being the most memorable. Having said that, the appearance of Malcolm was very memorable, as was each appearance in the book of Owen. I won't say why, as the reader will discover for themselves, on listening to this wonderful book.

What about Sean Barrett’s performance did you like?

I like the way Sean Barrett, for me, speaks with virtually no accent. OK, it's mildly British, but understated. He performs the book well changing from narrative stretches into the various dialogues in a masterful way and always engaging the listener by injecting interest, activity and mood into his performance.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I felt like laughing and crying but most of all I felt that tingle of expectation and suspense that prevented me from turning the book off to go to sleep. There were many occasions where I empathised with the various characters and they all played believable parts in the story. Finally, the book made me sorry, sorry that it was over......

Any additional comments?

Please Michael Robotham, write another excellent novel in this series soon, and meanwhile keep safe and well.

## Fabulous! Couldn't stop listening. ##

The best of the five by this author I've listened to so far. The story doesn't veer off track to fill in the chapters. It's all story. Dependable Sean Barrett narrates the story to perfection.

Can't stop listening

Where does Watching You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In a league of its own. Maybe as good as 'Watching you' also by Michael Robotham

Who was your favorite character and why?

Piper Hadley. One can understand the immaturity, innocence and ignorance of a lonely teenage girl

Have you listened to any of Sean Barrett’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. In 'Watching You. He is an excellent narrator

Any additional comments?

I hope to find more of this standard by Audible
