    "Good, but not great."

I liked it, but to me the narrator made it a little less than perfect. The plot is DEFINITELY unique and the story keeps a great pace till the end, with surprise after surprise. Yes, it's definitely a medical, biotechnological, action packed thriller and yes it's definitely interesting, but the characters are almost TOO perfect. It has a potential to become a series, but it needs a little more realism and to come down a little from the clouds before I think this character will go main-stream.

Worth the credit, but not an all out purchase, if that makes sense. I'll read another of his books if he writes one just to see how the author progresses.

    "Too Over The Top"

I actually chose this book because it had a sequel but have no plans to read the next one. The premise was interesting. I liked the suspense. The tech stuff was fun. I wanted to find out what happened but just couldn't make myself listen to any more of the overly dramatic dialogue. If a superhero comic book could be made into an audiobook this would be it!
Note to self. Be more thorough in reading all reviews. Not everyone likes the same style.

    "Annoying"
What did you like best about WIRED? What did you like least?

In all fairness, I turned it off after about 30 minutes and read the Kindle version, so my opinion is based on the first 30 minutes of the audio version. I listen to a lot of audio books, and this is by far the worst narration I have heard. It is read in almost a singsongy cadence, and he drops his voice at the end of every sentence and sometimes at the end of phrases within sentences. Trying to listen in the car I missed enough of what was going on that I had to start back at the beginning when I switched to the Kindle. I got the audio version for $3.49 when I bought the Kindle version, but if I had paid full price or spent a credit I think I would have asked for my money back.

I've been writing software for over twenty years. Most of the books in my collection are science fiction or computer related materials.

    "Fantastic story!"

What an awesome book. I recommend it to anyone interested in sci-fi and the idea of enhanced human minds. Now on to it's sequel!

He made a dollar for each time he said transformed or enhanced. Slow average listen on Audible.

    "Couldn't get into it"
What did you like best about WIRED? What did you like least?

    The Limitless factor.

What could Douglas E. Richards have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Characters all felt wrong to me.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes

Did WIRED inspire you to do anything?

    No.

    Any additional comments?

I tried to like it. I'm biased toward this type of story just couldn't get into it. Felt like a first draft and not a finished story. Characters felt a little off maybe to perfect yet not. Like describing people as superman but with flaws. Instead of people with flaws that accidently or through luck and hard work prevail.

    "Far fetched but exciting"

I enjoyed listening to the audiobook on headphones. The sound was almost too low to listen without headphones, even turned up all the way. The narrator has a whispery voice that in many spots is hard to hear. However, he read it very well.
The story, as I mentioned, was far fetched, and required a suspension of belief akin to science fiction. The plot has many twists and turns that very conveniently rescue the protagonists just in time. But, all in all, very enjoyable.

    "Enjoyed Wired"

The narrator was difficult to hear when whispering lines. I should not have to turn the volume up to ear πŸ‘‚ shattering levels to hear and dialog. Book πŸ“— and story line were great and I totally enjoyed the book πŸ“—
