Publisher's summary

In L.A., Cassie Black is another beautiful woman in a Porsche: except Cassie just did six years in prison and still has "outlaw juice" flowing in her veins. Now Cassie is returning to her old profession, taking down a money man in Vegas. But the perfect heist goes very wrong, and suddenly Cassie is on the run - with a near-psychotic Vegas "fixer" killing everyone who knew about the job.

Between Cassie and the man hunting her are a few last secrets: like who really set up the job, why Cassie had to take the chance, and how, in the end, it might all be a matter of the moon....

Not up to Connelly’s aUsual

Interesting crime story but lack of a sympathetic character minimizes involvement with the story. Think I’ll stick with Harry and Mickey!

Harry Bosch Universe, NOT Harry Bosch

Although this is a "Harry Bosch Universe" book, Harry Bosch – nor any detective – does not appear! At first, I despaired and thought that I wouldn't actually like any of the characters nor the plot itself. I was so wrong! The character whom I liked best appeared to have a fatal flaw (character-wise) early on, but she redeemed herself and it made for a truly fascinating and interesting book! Michael Connelly STILL rules, in that he is still my current favorite mystery writer!
What appears to be a straightforward story of theft and intrigue, gets all wrapped up in the intrigue part. No one is who he/she appears to be, and as soon as you have someone worked out, said person holds an entirely different role in your inner story. Fabulous book!

Turn the Page!

This book was a little slow at first, but it picked up and took you for a ride!

Well told Story.

It was a good book. I was looking for a new Bosch story and found this one. I was pleasantly surprised. Michael Connelly did a good job on this story. The characters were believable and the story flowed well.

Not Harry Bosch, but thoroughly entertaining.

While the narration was primarily unremarkable, the story was captivating. Connelly wove a good tangled web of 'synchronicity.' The action was pretty believable, and the intersection of lives a good thread woven through.

Did not finish

I did not finish this book. I didn’t care for the characters and didn’t want to know how it ended. Details on how to set up a perfect crime held no interest for me.

One of the best Connelly books

Wasn’t too sure about this one. No Harry Bosch or any of his regular characters in sight. As it turns out, it is better than many of his other books. Recommended

Just A Very Good Story Well Told

If you like murder/action caper novels... It's hard to fault "Void Moon". Michael Connelly knows craft and process as well as anyone writing today. And like a great engineer, he has a toolkit full of every tool in and for the book. There's just nothing weak. Well, maybe it starts a tad slowly. But the rascals that fill these pages were perfect to tease me into the story.

You want a message? Some life secrets? Read your email or curl up with that old humorist Manny Kant :-) You want a good ensemble cast performed by a master actor... Listen to L.J. Gander tell about "The Void Moon".
