Between Cassie and the man hunting her are a few last secrets: like who really set up the job, why Cassie had to take the chance, and how, in the end, it might all be a matter of the moon....

Hard to beat this one! A mystery wrapped in a thriller with parental love to sweeten' the pot,
I've listened to all of the Harry Bosch novels, and several other Michael Connelly novels, and he never seems to have a bad story! Coming from a Harry Bosch perspective, I was prepared to not enjoy this story. But I found myself captured almost immediately. The characters are well drawn, the plot is interesting and well paced, and the narration is top notch. I'd love to see a sequel to this book. I'd love to know what happens next!
As usual Michael Connelly does not disappoint. Great book, beautifully read. Loved it. Highly recommended
Michael is a great story teller. This story starts from one characters view. Then halfway through you begin following the story from another characters perspective. While I found this a little distracting with the first switch, I was glad that the timeline did not go back and forth with view changes. As the story reaches the climax the two perspectives draw closer and closer. It was a great suspense novel.
this was a novel way of presenting the main protagonist who was the crook and the heroine in one person. Nice amount of suspense. The ending was well done.
The only disappointment was it ended too soon -- I hope he brings Cassie Black back in another story. If you like his Bosch series, this is another must!
Once again a grate book from Connelly
And with Ganser as narrator it just has to be good..
Good story and well written, keeps the suspense to the end..
... The narrator was probably the main culprit. I don't get it - I really enjoy Michael Connelly's stories, but some of the narrators chosen for his books are simply awful (and many reviewers have commented on this) and spoil the story. With a big name like his he should be able yo get the best narrators - who chooses them???? Anyway, I would have given up after the first few hours if it hadn't been a Connelly book - I had hoped it would finally come to life. But It never quite did! The storyline is actually very interesting and clever but the narrator really killed this one for me, and the description of the details of the caper are tedious, and in the end i really could't care less what happened to the characters.
I love all genres of books. However, when I listen to audio books as I clean, garden, drive they are better with a lot of heat!
Micheal Connelly is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint; great story that made my commute flyby
