"Clare's impressive novel is rife with gripping suspense, secrets masterfully revealed, and characters in whom [fans] can become emotionally invested." (Romantic Times)
Breathtaking, believable, suspenseful
Too many to pick just one
I have always had a love of reading and now with dimming eyesight , I have transferred that love to audio books. This author, Pamela Clare, is one of my top 5 authors. I held my breath, cried and laughed out loud. Probably even learned a good bit about journalism . She makes it real.
I love happy endings. This was wonderful. You get it all Love, corruption, truth, justice, forgiveness and joy. I am a fan. Sappy love story and I cried, laughed a little and a little hope is good for the soul. Evil can be overcome, YEAH!.
I've read the print version at least twice, and got the book because I really liked Kaleo's reading... he made it come alive in a new way. Great story, great narrator... CAN'T GO WRONG!!!!
The gripping story of young lovers who, after a fateful, WONDERFUL night, are torn apart in different directions, and later find themselves thrust together, years and heartbreaking, life-changing events later.... Yummmmm...this is a recipe for passion and drama... The bad boy gone good, gone bad again, but revealed as truly the BEST of the Best.. and SO DARNED SEXY! The heroine was smart and feisty, yet when it came to her man, when she recognized his heart and that he was still in hers, was determined to stand by her man no matter what. I LOVED this story!!! Pamela Clare ROCKS!!!! And Kaleo can roll me anytime with that smooth, masculine, emotion-laden voice. He had me at hello!
Who can forget that dining room table scene where he cooked for her... and then they cooked TOGETHER in their own intense way... heck.. I felt steamed just listening to it!!! But for sheer drama, the scene where he took a bullet to protect his woman, and nearly died in the process... OMG... i could read that one scene over and over again!!!
If only I could. But CAN listen to it over and over again!
WELL WORTH it, even if you've already read to printed or ebook version....the addition of the voice of the narrator is SO worth buying it again!
Loved the book, loved Kaleo's narration
The suspence and romance
The first time Kara and Reese meet
Even though I had read the book. I still laughed and cried and felt for the characters as I listened to the story.
This whole series is great, but this was my favorite. I think the bad boy aspect was what made it so hot.
I have listened to all of the I-Team series. Kaleo does a great job on all of them.
narrator was good, story was okay. would have been better if author didn't keep repeating every thing
Should I say more? Yes! I had to stay up all night for this one. I laughed, I cried, I hugged myself....and finally I prayed with the preacher and his wife Connie Stevens. And finally I worried myself sick about Hunt. Great story....Great ending.
In "Hard Evidence" Kaleo Griffith did a so so performance and I almost didn't get "Unlaw Contact" because of that reason, but I just decided to grin and bare it because I couldn't doubt the reviews I read. They were all raving with the exception of one. I am so glad I decided to purchased it, because I have consider Pamela Clare to be another of my favorite authors, and will be getting the other I-team novels.
Yes. I kept thinking it has to end good but it seemed like it would be one of the few with a grave ending. There are just a handful of books that make me teary eyed and this one was a flat out crying book; but not because of how it ended but because the way it sounded like it was heading. I listen to my audio books all the time and rarely have my ear buds out. Of course I was at the crying stage in the middle of the store and was asked by everyone if everything was ok.
Oh, it sure got a tear shedding reaction form me. Kaleo Griffith did a flawless performance.
Wow, what an intricate storyline, from the beginning you honestly can't figure out how it "Could have a Happy Ending" It has twists, & and incredible surprises. I made my husband crazy because I couldn't put the book down long enough to watch a movie. It's a long book which makes it even better, unless you're my husband. Great story! Start from the beginning of the series, it makes it better to have the full back ground.
I rated the 1st a 5, the second a 4 other than performance (the performances have been incredible) after I got into the second book I couldn't stop listening so 41/2 would have been a better rating, but this one was incredible. I'm just about to order book number 4. Can't WAIT! Don't tell my husband. ;-)
Favorite genre: romantic mystery and romantic thrillers. Love twists and turns and unpredictable plots.
Yes. This is their second novel I read, but the first was better so I'll try again.
One story line, boring, predictable. I was utterly bored especially by the juvenile reminiscing of the high school one nighter shared by the characters. Fifteen years later we are to believe that the only woman the imprisoned character thought of during his six years of incarceration was this woman he had one night with...despite the fact that he's smoking hot? We are supposed to believe the 'hottest' guy in the school and the sophomore girl who grew up to be the 'great' reporter she aspired to be, who shared the one nighter with the hottest guy in the senior class...we are to believe she didn't know his real name in high school? That is an important premise to believing a lot of what happened to this "smart" reporter.
He is very good.
