Publisher's summary

A tragic kidnapping... the mystery of twin telepathy... a mother's search for a child, presumed dead.

Hours after throwing a third birthday party for their twins Kathy and Kelly in their Connecticut home, Margaret and Steve Frawley return home from a dinner in New York to discover the police in the house, their daughters missing, and an eight million dollar ransom note. The Frawleys meet the kidnapper's demands, but the abandoned car they're led to contains only Kelly, the body of the driver, and a suicide note, saying he had inadvertently killed Kathy and dumped her body in the ocean.

At the private memorial Mass for Kathy, Kelly tugs Margaret's arm and says that her sister Kathy "wants to come home right now." More unexplainable occurrences indicate that Kelly is in touch with Kathy, but no one except Margaret believes that Kathy is still alive. As Kelly's warnings become increasingly specific and alarming, however, FBI agents set out on a search for the kidnappers as Kathy's life hangs by a thread.

Delving into the well-documented but still unexplained phenomenon of twin telepathy, worldwide #1 best seller Mary Higgins Clark takes us deep into the minds of her characters while lifting us to the heights of suspense.

Every Mother's Nightmare!!

Would you listen to Two Little Girls in Blue again? Why?

Yes. It is a scary yet heart rending tale & I'm sure that there must be things I missed because my heart was pounding so hard. Or because I iwas shout out (in my head) listen to Kelly!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Two Little Girls in Blue?

If I answer this - it may give too much a way. I will say that when Kelly started to get sick - they finally started to believe her when she said Kathy was talking to her.

Which scene was your favorite?

When they brought the twins together in the hospital - to help each other get better.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did cry - I also got very angry at the kidnappers - especially the evil female one who kept pinching the girls.

Any additional comments?

I thought the twist of another cold case - unsolved murder - to muddy the waters was interesting. However, the revelation of who the genius behind the kidnapping was a little predictable - at least to me. I've read so many 'who done its' that I began to suspect him early on.

All in all a very good read. Keep the tissue box handy. 2 thumbs up!!

Awesome Listen imho

What did you love best about Two Little Girls in Blue?

I am a huge fan of Mary Higgins Clark and a huge fan of audio books and, would have to say the two little girls in blue was another hit that kept me wanting more once I got started with the listen.

What other book might you compare Two Little Girls in Blue to and why?

None in particular

Which scene was your favorite?

Every scene in the book was great and I would have a hard time choosing a particularly favorite one. If I really had to choose it would be the scenes which included the twin talk, and how they cold communicate with each other in such a way.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Disappointed

This is the first book that I have purchased by this author. I was so disappointed. The book was predictable and anticlimactic. The narrator was monotone and boring. I would not recommend this book and I am not sure that I would purchase another book from this author

Good Story Line, But...

I had heard of Mary Higgins Clark before, but this is my first read/listen to one of her books. I have to say I was disappointed. For such a popular and accomplished author, I found her writing to be sub-par. So, although the plot was interesting and the book suspenseful, I can't help but thinking that the novel would have been much better if the story line was taken and written by a different author.

The narrator was not great. However, in my listening experience, female narrators seldom are. There have been a few female narrators that I've listened to that were outstanding, but not many. (By the way, my wife feels the same way on this.)

Now I've probably got not only all MHC fans upset with me, but all women, too. Sorry about that, but I'm just sharing my honest opinions.

predictable

I wouldn't read this author again- hackneyed writing. Wish I had spend more time reading other's reviews.

Slightly boring, occasionally annoying

This story has an interesting premise, but the book is actually fairly predictable. The characters seem so thin and undeveloped. It is like someone just telling you something that happened, rather than crafting a tale and building suspense. During the story, the reader is being led along, anticipating what might happen. It seemed to drag, and I found that I began wishing they would just hurry up with it. I really did not need to hear the narrator's interpretation of bad singing, especially more than once. This actually delivered some of the most annoying moments I have ever experienced in the 20+ years I have been listening to aduible books. I kept hoping the book would improve but at about the 3/4 mark I gave up and started a different book.

Had to abandon this one

I lasted about 2 hours and had to abandon this one. I didn't care for the narration, the way the story jumped around, or the writing style. Instead of writing, for instance:

He thought back to last Tuesday, when he had spent the day hanging out with friends.

She writes like:

He remembered last Tuesday. "I spent the day hanging out with friends and had a great time", he thought.

I probably didn't do a very good job of explaining that, but if you listen you will understand what I mean and may find it as annoying as I did.

Obviously I am the one-off as everyone else seemed to enjoy it, so take this for what it's worth.
