Yikes…
I think I had nightmares while listening to this book, but strangely couldn’t stop. It gets very graphic and I wanted to shed tears a few times. As a mother of a son I had a hard time listening to some of those prison scenes and the graphic details of rape and torture…the fact that these types of things truly happen in America is what disturbed me the most. Overall it was a great book. Pulled me in, but sad as well. I wish there would have been a different outcome for the killer.

A great read
Lots of details that keeps one fully engaged. This novel keeps one engaged fully as it weaves the most complex and sometimes horrific experiences ending with an emotional if not satisfying closure.
