Publisher's summary

From Atlanta's wealthiest suburbs to its stark inner-city housing projects, a killer has crossed the boundaries of wealth and race. And the people who are chasing him must cross those boundaries, too. Among them is Michael Ormewood, a veteran detective whose marriage is hanging by a thread and whose arrogance and explosive temper are threatening his career. And Angie Polaski, a beautiful vice cop who was once Michael's lover before she became his enemy. But unbeknownst to both of them, another player has entered the game: a loser ex-con who has stumbled upon the killer's trail in the most coincidental of ways and who may be the key to breaking the case wide open.

In this gritty, gripping firecracker of a novel, the author of the best-selling Grant County, Georgia, series breaks thrilling new ground, weaving together the threads of a complex, multilayered story with the skill of a master craftsman. Packed with body-bending switchbacks, searing psychological suspense and human emotions, Triptych ratchets up the tension one revelation at a time as it races to a shattering and unforgettable climax.

Loved the Narrator!

I came here to dote about the narration. I am onto the 2nd book, which has a different narrator and I feel like I am reading about completely different characters in this 2nd book. Michael Kramer gave Will Trent his voice and contributed so much to my shaping of his personality! I thought his narration was perfect for the severity and tone of Triptych. The story was devastating and enthralling, as are Karin Slaughter's specialties. Amazing listen!

So Good!!!

What did you love best about Triptych?

The story started off a little slow as the author introduces the characters but once you start to piece it all together its is very addicting!

A New Series yo devour!

I am a murder mystery thriller reader and have read everything by the majority of the major writers..Patterson, Sandford, Kellerman (Mr and Mrs), Connelly, Child, Deaver, Baldacci, Grafton ( may she rest in peace), and on to Kendra Elliot, Kay Hooper, Tami Hoag.... everything I can find, SO I was quite desperate for a new (and preferably long) series.. well after reading the first 2 (as much as I despise doing so I read number 2 before number 1) and I am VERY EXCITED!!

START HERE!

I feel like I’ve done myself a great disservice by reading Karin’s books all at random - I so wish i had started with Will Trent! Next to Pretty Girls (which I shouldn’t have read FIRST), this is the best of her works that I’ve read so far. TWISTS. TURNS. I could not stop with this one. I also appreciated the male perspective on this one, it was a nice change after reading/listening to almost all of her other books. I will say I’m SLIGHTLY disappointed that this one didnt end as strongly as many of her others, but the content of the book makes up for it (and obviously she’s strengthened greatly over the years!)

Edge of your seat

Karin Slaughter writes like no other. She takes you to the very brink and brings you back. All her books are a wild ride and I have enjoyed everything she’s ever written. This is my second time through the Will Trent Series loving it again!
