The #1 New York Times Bestselling Author
A Stephanie Plum Novel

Janet Evanovich's novels are the hottest bestsellers in America!
# 1 New York Times
# 1 Wall Street Journal
#1 Los Angeles Times
#1 Entertainment Weekly
#1 Publishers Weekly

Stephanie Plum's got rent to pay, people shooting at her, and psychos wanting her dead every day of the week (much to the dismay of her mother, her family, the men in her life, the guy who slices meat at the deli . . . oh, the list goes on). An ordinary person would cave under the pressure.

But hey, she's from Jersey.

Stephanie Plum may not be the best bounty hunter in beautiful downtown Trenton, but she's pretty darn good at turning bad situations her way . . . and she always gets her man. In To the Nines, her cousin Vinnie (who's also her boss) has posted bail on Samuel Singh, an illegal immigrant. When the elusive Mr. Singh goes missing, Stephanie is on the case. But what she uncovers is far more sinister than anyone imagines and leads to a group of killers who give new meaning to the word hunter.

In a race against time that takes her from the Jersey Turnpike to the Vegas Strip, Stephanie Plum is on the chase of her life. The unforgettable characters, nonstop action, high-stakes suspense, and sheer entertainment of To the Nines define Janet Evanovich as unique among today's writers.

Critic reviews

“Narrator King somehow makes the crazy, comic antics of Evanovich's irresistible bond agent, Stephanie Plum, seem almost rational in this fine audio adaptation...With plenty of prior experience narrating Evanovich titles, King has no trouble highlighting the eccentricities of the author's invariably quirky cast of characters...King's chameleon voice and ease with accents make this a lively listening experience.” —Publishers Weekly

“Narrator Lorelei King does a fabulous job, as each character is assigned a distinctive voice, thus milking the humor for every drop.” —The Boston Globe

“Stellar voice performer Lorelei King gives a captivating spin to the characters in Janet Evanovich's ninth Stephanie Plum novel.” —Denton Record Chronicle

Lots of Fun

This was my first Stephanie Plum experiance, and I can assure you it won't be my last! I had a lot of fun listening to the adventures of this "disaster magnent", and her dysfunctional family. She sounds like a "real person" with real family and friends. The reading was great, all the different voices. I especially liked Rangers voice. Good Job!!

Easy Reading Stephanie Plum

Janet E always keeps you guessing. Just when you think you know the right answer she puts a "twist" into the plot. She also writes so that you don't have to start with her first book to keep up with the story line. She always refreshes your memory about what happened before. She keeps your attention and while I listen to them to and from work, you don't mind a few traffic slowdowns.

Always brilliantly humorous & lively entertainment

Would you listen to To the Nines again? Why?

yes... her stories are always so byzantine it's worth listening to again to catch the little things you miss the first time

What other book might you compare To the Nines to and why?

her other books are quite typical of this one

Which scene was your favorite?

most of them... family dinners, outings with Lula, encounters with Ranger, and life with Joe.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the heroine's moment of rage when she realizes that "The Fircat" though threatening her life, is a sick, twisted psychopath and has wreaked harm in others life so without regard for her own safety, chooses to make every effort to punish him for his deeds.

What did you love best about To the Nines?

What other book might you compare To the Nines to and why?

All books in series!!

What does Lorelei King bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She makes all characters more real. When I read this series now I hear her voice. It's great that every character has own distinct voice!! Movie didn't compare they had the wrong voices!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Lorelei King is the BEST narrator

I loved Debi Mazar reading the JE Plum books and I love Lorelei King just as much. You can hear the raised eyebrow on Morelli when he questions Stephanie. You can feel the Batman-ness of Ranger when he answers her page. Of course, I love #9 and am running off to listen to 10. (I didn't review 8 because I bought a paper copy of 8 - fantastic as well).

Lula was the STAR of this book!

Where does To the Nines rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Nicely paced

I enjoy the narrator of the first 4 books in this series far better than this one, but I've come to terms with it and try to put the accents behind me and enjoy the story. This one is particularly funny.
