Spell bounding.

I enjoyed the weaving of human nature and mystics. The story was believable and spell bounding. People are not always as they seem. Good mystery

So much fun

Characters are 3 dimensional and engaging; plot is fun; good research into subject. I listened to this while on Treadmill, and looked forward to the workout.

Narrator was a touch too dramatic. Every sentence was delivered like it was the last line of an epic tragedy.

really enjoyed this tale but the epilogue was a bummer.explaining the aftermath is always great but it was overkill could not wait for it to be done.

Predictable

Perhaps if you are new to the Preston/Child series, you will find this book to be more interesting but since I have listened to most of their collaborations, I had the story line figured out pretty early on. I did not have all the specifics sorted out but no one could have as they held back the pertinent info to be able to do so. It was cool to see how Nora and Bill got together but the other characters were a little too pat as was the way the story was all neatly wrapped up. Not at the top of my recommendation list but not a terrible book.

Great read!

Nora is a great character and having this story centered around her was great! Would listen again.

Suspense from start to finish

This is a well crafted story that takes place in the beautiful American southwest. You can visualize the scenes from the description given. The suspense builds as the story unfolds as the characters meet and over come the forces of nature and the evil of an acient people.

Best narration ever..

Excellent story and Scott Brick does a top notch narration. That can make or break an audio book.
