Publisher's Summary

Deciding if she wants to go into real estate becomes a life-or-death choice for Aurora "Roe" Teagarden. A naked corpse is discovered at her first house showing. And when a second body is found in another house for sale, it becomes obvious that there is a very cool killer at large in Lawrenceton, one who knows a great deal about real estate-and maybe too much about Roe.

    "Aurora Teagarden is back!"
Would you listen to Three Bedrooms, One Corpse again? Why?

Absolutely - the story telling is solid. I enjoyed the pace of the story, the growth of Roe as a character, and the mystery itself.

What other book might you compare Three Bedrooms, One Corpse to and why?

If you like Parker's Jesse Stone series, you might want to give this one a try. I was hesitant because I'm not a fan of the show 'True Blood', but I am glad I did give this series a try. Roe is becoming one of my favorite mystery characters.

Entertaining, enjoyable and smart, but not too smart. A fluffy but likable who-done-it and a believable heroine.

    "Short, Light, Entertaining enough"
What did you like best about Three Bedrooms, One Corpse? What did you like least?

Aurora began the series as a local librarian and (I would say rather predictably) inherited enough money to quit. In this book, she toys with being a realtor like her mom. I guess authors can't resist the urge to free their "detectives" from day jobs so they can get involved in more varied situations. Anyway, she hangs out with realtors for this one. Aurora, aka Roe, spends too much time doing her hair and makeup and picking out outfits. She annoys me for a variety of reasons but I seem to keep reading these anyway. Her dealings with men are always a main part of the book. In this one, she has a new love interest. He falls immediately in love with her despite her doing everything you shouldn't do when you meet a guy - like go straight to a motel on your first date. I am not sure why this annoys me, other than this being so unrealistic in a book that isn't a romance. (Men are supposed to behave in unrealistic fashion in romances.) Roe is pretty shallow and self-centered really. However, it was entertaining enough that I do plan to read Aurora's next one, The Julius House. It also probably helps that these are maybe 7 hour audiobooks and sometimes I just want something short and light.

    "Better than the first book"

The main character has evolved from being a bit boring immature girl to a woman with guts. She still lack confidence. The story is getting better every new book.

    "BORING!!!"

I have read the Shakespeare series, as well as the Sookie Stackhouse series. Both series were great. This series is not. The first book in this series was ok. I found this book to be dull and the characters are not that interesting. I will not read anymore books in this series.

    "Enjoyable but not as good..."
Where does Three Bedrooms, One Corpse rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Not quite as good as the first two books in this series but still very enjoyable listening.

"fast, easy to listen to and enjoyable"
Would you consider the audio edition of Three Bedrooms, One Corpse to be better than the print version?

never read the book but liked listening. I was at the dentist so this book kept my mind busy and me relaxed.

What did you like best about this story?

the main character has lots of spunk and its fun that she has the money to do things that us working folks would think about for awhile.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

the inflections of her voice really bring the people to life
