Publisher's summary

For President Jack Ryan, his son Jack Ryan, Jr., and the covert organization known as The Campus, the fight against America’s enemies is never over. But the danger has just hit home in a way they never expected in this #1 New York Times bestselling Tom Clancy thriller....

The Campus has been discovered. And whoever knows they exist knows they can be destroyed. Meanwhile, President Jack Ryan has been swept back into the Oval Office - and his wisdom and courage are needed more desperately than ever.

Internal political and economic strife has pushed the leadership of China to the edge of disaster. And those who wish to consolidate their power are using the opportunity to strike at long-desired Taiwan, as well as the Americans who have protected the tiny nation.

Now, as two of the world’s superpowers move ever closer to a final confrontation, President Ryan must use the only wild card he has left - The Campus. But with their existence about to be revealed, they might not even have a chance to enter the battle before the world is consumed by war.

By far

The best book in the Clancy family. I might have preferred Scott Brick but LDP did a very very credible job.

Good easy Jack Ryan Jr. narrative.

Kept me interested. Junior reminds me of Jason Bourne. Like it that good wins over bad.

Another Excellent piece of work from Mark Greaney

I've been a fan of Greaney's books since reading his first Gray Man title years ago. When I found out he was taking over the Tom Clancy series of Jack Ryan books after Clancy's passing, I wasn't sure how it'd turn out. It was a different style of writing, but he slid into that universe seamlessly. His writing, in my opinion, is every bit as good as Clancy's work. This title was absolutely terrific. I'm blown away again.

It was the first audio book I've listened to narrated by Lou Diamond Phillips who I've been a fan of as an actor since the 1980s. I have to say, his performance was amazing. His tone was perfect for the subject matter. His ability to speak in various foreign accents... stellar. Scott Brock is the usual voice for this series, but Phillips did not disappoint on this one.

I highly recommend this book whether you're a fan of the Clancy/ Jack Ryan series or not. It won't be a waste of your time.

Great Book!

This is a great, unputdownable book. Very good plot and quite on point given the recent cyber attacks. Quite a thrill. I thought the narrator was good but too fast -- I found myself rewinding a few times to catch up.
