Publisher's summary

For President Jack Ryan, his son Jack Ryan, Jr., and the covert organization known as The Campus, the fight against America’s enemies is never over. But the danger has just hit home in a way they never expected in this #1 New York Times bestselling Tom Clancy thriller....

The Campus has been discovered. And whoever knows they exist knows they can be destroyed. Meanwhile, President Jack Ryan has been swept back into the Oval Office - and his wisdom and courage are needed more desperately than ever.

Internal political and economic strife has pushed the leadership of China to the edge of disaster. And those who wish to consolidate their power are using the opportunity to strike at long-desired Taiwan, as well as the Americans who have protected the tiny nation.

Now, as two of the world’s superpowers move ever closer to a final confrontation, President Ryan must use the only wild card he has left - The Campus. But with their existence about to be revealed, they might not even have a chance to enter the battle before the world is consumed by war.

Great Book!

This is a great, unputdownable book. Very good plot and quite on point given the recent cyber attacks. Quite a thrill. I thought the narrator was good but too fast -- I found myself rewinding a few times to catch up.

It's Tom Clancy, what can go wrong?

This was a fun and exciting book. It was fun continuing the Ryan family legacy, this time through Harrison Fords son. It was exciting and detailed and I am nervous about those pesky Chinese

CLANCYESQUE

CLANCY CAN TELL A GOOD STORY.
I THINK HIS BEST STUFF WAS WHEN HE TOLD STORIES DURING THE COLD WAR LIKE" HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER".LATER ON HE TENDED DO GET A BIT PREACHY.VECTOR IS A RETURN TO HIS ROOTS AND FAVORITE CHARACTER....JACK RYAN...AND HIS SON JACK RYAN JR.
BASICALLY IT'S A GOOD STORY,GOOD PLOT AND LOU DIAMOND DOES AN
EXCELLENT JOB AS NARRATOR.
IF YOU ARE IN THE MOOD FOR THE "OLD".....TOM CLANCY......IT'S WORTH READING.

Tom Clancy is Back!

A page-turning (if not listening to the audio version, of course), believable thread that you can't stop listening to. In true Tom Clancy form, Threat Vector is filled with interesting characters, complex subjects which are explained in detail, and exciting action scenes that you hope will one day make it to the big screen. I had recently been turned off by some of Clancy's later work, however this book brought back some of the Tom Clancy of old.

Lou Diamond Phillips gives the best performance of any audio book I have listened to. For the first time, I have sought out other books based solely on the narrator. It was almost like having an ensemble cast with his various feelings and accents. Outstanding!

If you are looking for an adventure to listen to during drive time, this one will make the time fly by. You may find yourself parked in the garage to see what happens next.
