Two-time Ned Kelly Award-winning author Michael Robotham has earned an international following with intense psychological thrillers like Shatter and Lost. The Wreckage is inspired by a real-life heist at the Central Bank of Iraq - the largest such crime in history. Millions of dollars are missing from Iraqi banks, and journalist Luca Terracini will stop at nothing to find the money. But the closer he gets to the truth, the more his actions reverberate around the world.

Bought this on the recommendation of a Sunday New York Times book review as a great "summer read". Strong storyline, believeable characters, contemporary theme (Iraq, Wall Street), punchy yet believeable dialogue, well paced, and one terrific narrator in Sean Barrett! Kudos all around.
The publisher’s dust jacket blurb about “The Wreckage: A Thriller,” by Michael Robotham, was more thrilling than the book itself. The premise of the story was good enough, but the author’s technique of telling separate stories in London and Baghdad, which took way too long to coalesce, made the book mediocre at best. By the time Robotham got to the point, I had ceased to care. The reader was okay.
Great plot, wonderful mystery, pitch perfect characters. Loved every minute of this great read. Reader is excellent.
ABSOLUTELY. I think Michael Robotham is one of our BEST mystery writers. Impossible for me to understand any reviews that were not outstanding....he is a master of unpredictable intrigue and endings. I literally had to force myself to take a break from this spellbinding read. After reading Suspect, narrated by Simon Prebble, I suspected it would be difficult to listen to another narrator....I was wrong, Sean Barrett was unbeatable. I'm looking forward to Robotham's 'LOST" as my next book....I can't get enough of him.
I've listened to 5 other Robotham's audiobook and they were fine but this was a wreck. Don't waste your time and money.
