This is my second Coben book and I am seriously hooked! Coben keeps you guessing right up to the end! Adding more Coben titles to my wish list now.

O-K

Very long and convoluted. Not his best work. Can't decide if I like Scott Brick or not. He does bring life, but at a drawn out and overly dramatic pace.

A few surprises

Another great listen from Harlan Coben. As usual, he weaves several different tales that intersect. Cope, the local prosecutor encounters demons from his past as a series of unusual events suggests that the long ago murder of his sister may not have occurred as he thought. There is an underlying theme of parents trying to protect their children. This was more of a mystery than some of his other novels. I didn't see the final twist coming, and there were a few more surprises in store even after the big reveal. Scott Brick did a great job narrating.

A strange book

The overall mystery that this book is about is unique, interesting, and unfolds nicely. The side-drama about the KGB could easily have been omitted- strange path to take.

I usually don't purchase books narrated by Scott Brick, but I made an exception here. I listened to this book because I had seen the Polish production of it- it was interesting to see the differences between the two.

The ending of the drama made far more sense than the book's version.

I have no idea why Scott Brick gets so many positive reviews. For me he is the worst. Pedantic, annoyingly overly dramatic, unable to vocalize female parts, and unable to differentiate among male parts. He also has a habit of stressing the wrong word in a sentence, which results in giving it a different meaning. I found myself re-voicing sentences in my head while listening to the next sentence.

Great book

The story had lots of twists and turns. However it was made even better by the narrator's accents for different characters.

Scott Brick could read us ANY story and make us love it. He is incredibly gifted; the many voices, the timbre of his voice, lolli

This was a terrific book! Complex characters and their interplay with one another make this mystery a total winner. Scott Brick's narration is flawless. He is so good at bring the story and the characters to life that it is like watching a movie. He and Coben are an A-plus team!! More of both of these guys please! Oh, and hold onto your seat for the surprise ending!
