Great storyline

Love the question that never goes away. Love the play out of the dominoe effect of choices.

It will keep you Guessing

What made the experience of listening to The Woods the most enjoyable?

One can read so many crime mysteries that the premises start to become predictable. I must admit this one had me guessing all the way through. Every time I thought I had the end game, something else came up. That's a welcome change for this genre.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Woods?

Learning the connection between Wayne and Lucy; didn't see that coming. But I'm still questioning why Wayne would tell Copeland about that now. It's not like he knew Cope and Lucy were seeing each other again...or does he?

What about Scott Brick’s performance did you like?

Very well preformed; accents, gender, very well done.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was drawn into it during the rape trial (Romancing the Bone).

Any additional comments?

This was my first Harlan Coben book. It won't be my last.

Great story, better narration, oversexualixation of females

In the beginning, I was annoyed at what seemed to be a predictable story. Boy was I wrong! Enough twists and turns in the plot to keep you addicted.

My ONLY complaint: something that is beginning to really rub me the wrong way with Coben's books (and I've consumed at least 20) is the objectification of women and the justification of amoral behavior...whether it be a cheating man ("some just do it and can't help themselves! Even with loving and happy families at home, there are certain types of men who just wouldn't be themselves if they stopped womanizing..."...what??

The authors liberal views and outright obsession with smut in a good number of his books detracts from his genius for me. All of the male protagonists in his books exercise an almost teenage boy mentality that I find cheap and less credible. Makes me feel like Coben himself is a bit of a pig and sexualizes all of his own experiences with every attractive woman he encounters. Gross!

And all of the female characters are these borderline pornstars who are totally cool, sexy and liberal about what is morally acceptable...playing into the male chauvinism. His books make it seem like women are only successful when they are using their bodies and looks to get ahead. Methinks Coben needs a reality check.

Loved it

Loved it. Tho I think other voices should be used for different characters. His voice makes it hard to picture the women in the story...lol

Great story. Definitely Harlan Cohen at his best. Don't know how I missed this one when it first came out but I did. I recommend this story to all who love a great mystery.
