An addictive new romantic suspense series from the desk of USA Today best-selling author Deanna Roy as Annie Winters....
Mia trembles as she reads the letter that arrives from Ridley Prison. Seduction. Bondage ropes. Descriptions of things Mia has never experienced or known.
The man's words are desperately passionate. He longs for a woman who must have given him a fake address. Mia's address.
She plans to send the letter back. He's a convicted felon. But his words gnaw at her. She's never done anything dangerous. And no man has ever talked to her like this.
So Mia writes him, pretending to be the woman he desires. It's her one dark thrill in her dull, solitary small-town life.
The man is in prison for another 15 years. It's harmless. She is safe enough...until he escapes.

I really like this story, It has just the right amount of suspense along with the romance and keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is ranked in my top 3 of books listened to so far.
The scene at the end where she is on top of him.
This is a great book, and I can't wait for the next one.
This books hooks you and wont let you go. I read/listened to all 4 books. I couldn't turn it off in the car or put it down once I got home from work. The second it ended I jumped right into the next one!
Love to read and I am really enjoying audible. Fantasy and sci fi are my faves but I also enjoy period novels and historical fiction.
The story and narration are fairly good but the cliffhanger just stops mid story. It's a short novel and truly the three should/could be just one. I hate when authors split up a story like this just to get you to buy three books instead of one or even possibly two but it's not worth three credits with how short they are and definitely not worth 24 bucks to buy outright. Too bad I was interested but not this much
Yes very intriguing and entertaining.
Actually had two favorites Jax and Mia they both were kind of lost, but they managed to have quite an adventurous foray into the unknown.
When she first meets Jax after he breaks into her home.
You could listen in a few hours, but I rounded it out for a few extra days
I loved this series. It has action, adventure, love, friendship, and much more. It has a 007 feel about it.
I like all the character. Each one brings this story to life.
Don't know if I have but they were sexy, well spoken, and easy to follow and soft to the ears.
Action impact 007 feel.
I love to read books--mostly YA, Classics, and sports romances. I also love to fangirl about books on my blog, Burning Impossibly Bright. :)
I haven't read the print version, but I really enjoyed the story as an audiobook! It had great pacing, and the story worked extremely well as an audiobook! I think I would've like it in print, but I definitely loved it as an audiobook.
When Jax and Mia "meet" for the first time! It was definitely an intense way for two characters to meet!
I absolutely LOVED Gordon Anthony Palagi! His voice was AMAZING, it complemented the story extremely well, and his chapters were my favourite parts of the story! I wasn't actually a big fan of Samantha L. Mantin though. I just didn't enjoy her voice and narration. I did get used to her, but I definitely wouldn't listen to a book where she was the only narrator. Gordon's chapters made up for hers, but I would probably have preferred if he were the only narrator, or if they'd chosen another narrator for Mia's chapters.
I loved getting to see more of the Vigilantes' world! It's very mysterious, and I discovering bits and pieces of their secret group!
I absolutely loved this story, and really enjoyed it as an audiobook! I'd recommend it to readers who love romantic suspense, especially if you like your leading men naughty and mysterious! ;)
I think it is a wonderful companion to the print version.
I loved everything about this story - the intensely gripping storyline, the subtle yet powerful romance, and the non-stop, edge-of-your-seat action.
Mia was by far my favorite character after Dax.
Always expect the unexpected.
LOVED it so competely! A total win!
So at first I wasn't sure about this book. It had the action that drew me in but I just both of their thoughts almost drew me crazy. Mainly because I was thinking no don't do that!!! Use you brain! Imagine all possibilities!! But of course the characters are stubborn and that always makes for a good book. I would be bored otherwise.
Now to the performance itself. The narrators were very good. I have to say my only pet peeve is I hate serials. I need more but honestly I prefer to listen to audiobooks and I can't imagine having the same experience by reading it myself. Yep I'm sad. Plus I enjoyed Gordon's voice 😏😏
