Two murders, thousands of miles apart: one in London, one in Bangkok. The bodies brutally mutilated: an ace of spades impaled upon their chests.

In Washington, a US senator receives photographs of the corpses. And realises that his past has come back to haunt him.

Nick Wright is the detective trying to solve the mystery of the double killing. His hunt for a motive takes him to the tunnels in Vietnam, where the American tunnel rats fought the dirtiest battle of the war against the Viet Cong. "another great leather novel"

I've read all but 2 of Stephen Leathers novels and, there isn't a bad book amongst them. as usual this book is full of great action with a gripping plot. One of Leathers strong points is his ability to draw multiple plot lines together to produce great books.

    "Poor story, dreadful narrator"

This really isn't very good. The book is riddled with cliches, stuffed with cardboard cutout stereotypical characters, the police procedural aspects are an insult to the intelligence, and the 'twist' can be seen a mile off. To make matters worse, the narrator is truly awful - gutteral Cockney with a range of accents seemingly inspired by Little Britian or bad 70's British sitcoms. Avoid.
