Publisher's summary

The world is on the brink of disaster. Iran has just conducted its first atomic weapons test. Millions of Muslims around the world are convinced their messiah — known as the Twelfth Imam — has arrived on earth. Israeli leaders fear Tehran, under the Twelfth Imam’s spell, will soon launch a nuclear attack that could bring about a second Holocaust and the annihilation of Israel. The White House fears Jerusalem will strike first, launching a massive preemptive attack against Iran’s nuclear facilities that could cause the entire Middle East to go up in flames, oil prices to skyrocket, and the global economy to collapse. With the stakes high and few viable options left, the president of the United States orders CIA operative David Shirazi and his team to track down and sabotage Iran’s nuclear warheads before Iran or Israel can launch a devastating first strike. But will they be too late?

frighteningly real!!

What made the experience of listening to The Tehran Initiative the most enjoyable?

this audiobook kept me on the edge most of the time. For those who do not appreciate biblical or religious references, please skip this audiobook. Unlike LaHaye, Rosenberg, does not force the issue. He works faith into his story in a very believable way.

I cannot wait for his next work - it is clear that there will be one!

What did you like best about this story?

the characters come to life in the story - they are memorable thanks to the narrator

Which character – as performed by Christopher Lane – was your favorite?

David, of course.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me shudder to think how easily this could happen in real life. Scary...

Excellent book

Would you listen to The Tehran Initiative again? Why?

Yes, I would. the action was so fast that I feel I may have missed somethings. I want to listen to it again especially given the times we live in. The book is very relavent to these days.

Have you listened to any of Christopher Lane’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I believe he is the same performer who did many of Joel Rosenberg's other books. He does an excellent job with this book too.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book opens your eyes to what is going on in the world today, especially in the Middle East. It is a sobering look at the world events before us.

It's okay; just be aware ...

First, be sure you know this is the middle book in a series of three. I don't remember when I bought it but it must have been a special and I didn't know ... so it would have been helpful to have listened to the first book first, and if you want to know "the rest of the story", you'll have to buy the third book. If I had liked the book better, I would have been glad to buy both, but I didn't and I won't! I was quite enjoying the book until it got into proselytizing. It was really hard for me to finish it. Part way into the second half I even looked it up in Audible to find out if it was in the Christian category. I'm not anti-Christian, but it really took away from the book and the flow of the story for me. That's also when I found out it was the second in a series and as I said, I didn't like it enough to buy either the first or third books ... so you jump into an ongoing story and end without it being complete.

Scripture blended with today's news

This book is a skillful blending of current events and scripture to create a scenario of what the future may look like.

Believeable Story and details. Excellent Performance

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The presentation sounded like multiple actors rather than just one.

Excellent Christian Entertainment!

I have never been more excited and satisfied! The Tehran Initiative has great dialogue, action, plot and narration. The appropriateness of content is outstanding! There is action packed events, political ultimatums, and middle-eastern nuclear attacks. I was extremely satisfied with this purchase and listening experience.
