Simply Amazing......
Would you consider the audio edition of The Storyteller to be better than the print version?
One of the best books I've ever listened to. Something for every kind of listener. The performers were excellent in their portrayals. It felt like I was hearing it directly from the characters.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes.......I love history and history has a dark side and Jodi did her research....facts were expressed that only one who cared enough to tell a completely fact based story could do.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The different performers and their geniune accents made it seem like I was experiencing it.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wanted to but could not. Had to tear myself away.

amazing
I really enjoy Jodi Picoult books, and this one was amazing I love it. the story was line was amazing and the way she leaves the end open, like the story of Minca was a nice touch. i keep wondering if there is gonna be a sequel.

Great performance
This book started a little slowly and was a bit confusing but it soon together and us essentially three stories. The performance of Minka”s story was riveting. Some predictable plot twists but very entertaining.

Glad I read this, glad I escaped.
Whew. I probably knew when I bought this book that it had significant holocaust content, but by the time I downloaded it that was long forgotten. This is tough going through some parts of the story, which actually has several intertwined stories and multiple narrators. BUT, I learned a lot - factually and psychologically - about how the holocaust happened and how everyday Germans may have been gradually pulled into supporting it. I've read the basics before, but in the context of this fictional story many details were more powerful. I cared about the modern characters, the mythical characters, and the historical characters.
It's a spectacular epic novel - memorable characters, intriguing twists, ties to the past and the present. It may well be the most thought-provoking book I read this year, in spite of the fact that sometimes I thought I couldn't listen to more. When I finished it, I felt like I'd come back from a long and taxing journey that was also a great adventure. The kind of experience that only a great book can provide. Thanks, Jodi Picoult.

Good Story; Awkward Chapter Breaks
Minka’s story - her life before and throughout the war - was so well done. It was my favorite part of the book. Sage’s story seemed a little less believable to me. The incorporation of the fantasy story within the story was nicely done. The narrators did a nice job. The weird part was that there weren’t true chapter breaks, so if I set it to Sleep at the end of a chapter, that might be in the midst of a sentence.

Amazing story
The voices reading this story feel right. I was drawn into the many sides of the story and did think of this ending but it didn’t matter. One of those stories that I delayed finishing by starting other book. But finally I had to know. Read/listen to this one.
