Publisher's summary

A hitman isn't allowed to have a life...

He calls himself Columbus. Some call him the Silver Bear. All know him as one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Now, as he tracks a powerful politician with presidential aspirations, the fragmented pieces of his own life begin to point to a terrible truth that will unmake everything he is, tear apart the shadowy, criminal world he rules-and put him right in the crosshairs.

Good story with a different viewpoint

What did you love best about The Silver Bear?

I wasn't familiar with Derek Haas, but I'm a big fan of Greg Bell and his Old-time radio channel on SiriusXM. When I heard that he narrated this book, I had to check it out. I wasn't disappointed and will definitely check out more of Haas' work.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Columbus, this was the most interested take on the role of a hitman that I have ever read. I liked the depth & conflict that he portrayed.

What does Greg Bell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His natural style really drew me in & made me think about what was going on.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.
