Good book, I was waiting for book 2, and asked about it on Diane Chamberlain Facebook page. This is not a series, there is NO book 2. I have contacted Audible, and so have Diane Chamberlain's people. Audible gave me a publishers phone number to report it, I did and passed the number to Diane Chamberlains page. It seems AUDIBLE OR PUBLISHERS WONT FIX IT. Just wanted to pass that along to anyone else waiting for next book.
A friend told me about this book and said it was absolutely wonderful that she read it into days I couldn't wait to listen to the story and I was not disappointed at the characters were compelling the story was the story with in the stories absolutely terrific book
I found this whole story implausible in the extreme. Even the smallest detail becomes ridiculous if you think about it for more than a minute. Nothing is believable, based in the real world or makes any sense at all. Zero thriller in this "chick-lit" snoozer. What a total waste of time.

This audio had an excellent narrator and that made it possible to keep listening. I am not one that is good at guessing plots but this book was so predictable that it was ridiculous. I feel like this author is one step above Danielle Steele. If you want an easy listening experience that is really mindless you might enjoy this, but otherwise save your credits for something that is written better and has a bit more substance
Canadian girl in Kansas, love audible, books on kindle or kindle fire, and old fashioned books! I enjoy fiction most, mostly books with strong female leads. Favourite authors: Diana Gabaldon, Stephen King, Jodi Picoult, Wally Lamb, Pat Conroy, Andre Dubus III, Lisa Genova, many more!
The Silent Sister contains much of Diane Chamberlain's usual formatting in writing a work of fiction. We have a confused woman who is trying to make sense of her family, and a ton of secrets behind the scenes that are slowly seeking their way to the top.
Riley is a high school counselor. Her father is in ill health, and when he dies she discovers that long ago, she had a sister. Her brother is an ex veteran and isn't really interested in talking about the sister, who apparently committed suicide. However, as Riley digs deeper, she finds that her sister Jade's death was a big lie. Why would her family go to all of the trouble to fake her death and move her? There is an excellent reason why.
The Silent Sister moves quickly and is packed full of juicy twists and turns. The main character is likable and the story on the whole is very well done. The narration was impeccable and this is an overall good audiobook which I enjoyed tremendously.
Solid 4/5 stars
The narration for this audio book is great. Thank heavens for that, because the writing is terrible. If you are anything above a 5th grade reading and comprehension level, you'll see every single "plot twist" coming from a mile away. Seriously, reading this book so frustrating because the characters took what seemed like ages to piece together very simple facts to reveal what was happening.
This book started out strong and I had high hopes for it, but by the end I didn't like any of the characters. The plot was predictable and feel like it could have been a lot shorter.
I Love Olive
this story was so predictable. some details were left hanging, and characters drop out and don't return. main characters spineless. I kept going,, hoping something good would happen but it never did.
