Wonderful, as usual

Alexander McCall Smith is my favorite author, and this most recent book from the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency series doesn't disappoint. Full of beauty, joy, humor, and love. And, of course, Lisette Lecat is the perfect narrator. She really brings the whole book to life. I can't recommend this series (as well as all McCall Smith's books) highly enough.

Light enjoyable in the time of COVID

I find myself turning to read Mc Call Smith gentle series set in Botswana while walking the dog or driving in my car (autocorrect wrote drinking in my car but it's only water when I do.)
If you want an escape from worry and instability join me and do the same...

The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party

Lisette Lecat is great narrating this story. She gets all the names and accents correct because she is from South Africa. Alexander McCall Smith creates stories that make you feel as they are old friends and you are just dropping by to visit. I do hope there is a book 13 in this series. She got her little white van back in this story.

a delightful read

charming characters, interesting events, glad this is part of a series because I hate to leave. When I come to the end of the series, the author has written many more books.

This series is one of the Best!!

Would you listen to The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party again? Why?

I love this series, The #1 Ladies Detective Agency. It presents a view of life worth hearing and trying to live up to. I have listened to or read every book in this series. I wouldn't necessarily listen to it again as some of the beauty of it is how the story unfolds.
