Publisher's summary

In Biloxi, Mississippi, a landmark tobacco trial with hundreds of millions of dollars at stake begins routinely, then swerves mysteriously off course. The jury is behaving strangely, and at least one juror is convinced he's being watched. Soon they have to be sequestered. Then a tip from an anonymous young woman suggests she is able to predict the jurors' increasingly odd behavior. Is the jury somehow being manipulated, or even controlled? If so, by whom? And, more important, why?

John Grisham is best known for his fast-paced legal thrillers and mysteries, many of which have been adapted for television and film. Because he’s so prolific and has been writing for decades, it can be difficult to know where to begin when selecting a title from his impressive back catalog. And Grisham is definitely a jack-of-all-trades: he’s written not only legal thrillers, but nonfiction, a series for kids, some humorous novels, and recently, a new mystery series outside of the legal thriller genre. To help you decide which Grisham gem to download next, we’ve compiled a list of the very best.

Suspenseful from Beginning to End

I much preferred Runaway Jury to The Testament. The latter prominently featured spirituality and wasn't my cup of tea. But Runaway Jury is a gripping, well-told story of jury tampering from inside and out. The two adversaries in this story are both intelligent and corrupt, and one of them is armed with more cash than some countries' militaries. I enjoyed Runaway Jury and Frank Muller's narration.

One of my favorite Grisham books!

Bought it knowing the story -- read it and watched it.... still, one of the best, and will listen again!

Very interesting

I enjoyed this book very much. Marlee which is an alias and Nicholas Easter concocted a very clever plan because of what happened to Marlee parents who were smokers and it was her plan to get revenge on tobacco companies because her parents died of lung cancer. This book had me glued.
