This medieval whodunit has Peters' usual richness of detail, intricacy of plot, and satisfying characterization.

    "Most Enjoyable!"

This is one of my favorites of the Cadfael books, and hearing it read enhances the story. Much as I like Stephen Thorne as a narrator, the lower production values of these 2005 recordings are sometimes annoying. Highly recommended.

"One of the better Cadfael Books"

I've been a fan of Cadfael since seeing the televised series many years ago. It has been wonderful finding this entire series on audiobook. I count Raven in the Foregate as one of my favorites in a wonderful series of stories.
