Implausible plot

I finished this book in one day because of some good plot twists. That being said the storyline is absurd. There is no way the main character would be able to pull this off. The story unfolds quickly which kept me interested but the plot was completely unrealistic. The ending seemed rushed, weak and obvious. The characters were not fully developed either. I love James Patterson’s work but I would save your money and rent it at the library.

Implausible Plot

I am a James Patterson fan but I must say that I was not too thrilled with this Patterson book. Without giving out any details, the plot was too far fetched. It made it hard to take the characters and the story seriously. I also did not care for the narrator. Her voice tended to be monotone and made listening to the book boring.

Great story

I started out with James Patterson with "Cross" and "Double Cross", both of which I liked a lot. Then, I read a review here from a woman who said that this was the best of Patterson's books and I have to say, this one is head and shoulders better than the aforementioned. I am a screenwriter and I must say, the dialogue rings much truer in this book and the characters are less stilted than those in Cross and D. Cross, where women just read like a man writing a man and placing a woman's name on the character. I don't know what kind of women that Patterson knows personally, but he can't write females in the first two books worth a lick - they just sound phony. That being said, his plots always keep you turning pages.

Unrealistic

Being a Patterson fan, I was disappointed in this book. Everything from character development to plot to actions of the characters are not believable making the story a far fetched knockoff of some of Patterson's other works. It feels like he wrote this book as a Quickie without much thought as to what makes his work good. Sometimes, Quickies are a good thing...not this time.

The Quickey

Fast moving, continuous excitement. Well plotted and executed--unique stream of thought style--great phrase and word useage--well read/acted. I recommend this.

A Wild Ride

Fast paced, entertaining, edgy, with a bit of a "Beach House" feel. Narrator makes otherwise maddening (ala making one questionable decision after the other) main character sound tolerable, particularly at the end, where she and an interesting friend sound as though they could spin off into a sequel ... and I for one hope they do.

The Quickie

This book was excellent. Another hit for James Patterson. Mary Stuart Masterson's narration was outstanding. The story moved along at a fast pace with a lot of twists, turns and suprises, and kept my interest the whole time. I would recommend this book to anyone, and, in fact, have done so.

Donna

I have been a James Patterson since the beginning. I have read all of his books but this is my last one. I am so disappointed in his last few books written with someone else. The quality just isn't there anymore.

The Quickie

I found this disguesing and offensive. It went straight into the trash. As a review designation is required, I gave it the smallest one available.
