So slow...

Would you be willing to try another one of Gabrielle de Cuir’s performances?

Im not sure. This performance was very slow... laborious, really- as though every word took a lot of effort to get through. The men all sounded like jerks, the women all snobby, except for the lead, Sky, who sounded like a really naive wallflower. Sky is going through a lot, but shes still a top criminal psycologist, who is capable of kicking butt. I just dont think this interpretation was on point.

This book is really good but it is a struggle to stay focused need action.

Highly recommended for intellectuals who enjoy the depth of David Baldacci's novels. I've found a new author to follow, and I'm looking forward to listening to the next installment of this series and any thing else P.M. Steffen writes!

Interesting story, history woven into the books contemporary storyline.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Sky -strong, gutsy, skilled, not your typical rich entitled aristocrat

What does Gabrielle de Cuir bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She has a voice that is enjoyable to listen to. Unlike some where I like the story but the narrator grinds on my nerves the whole book.

A great new series to look into.

This was a nice introduction to a new author I had not read before. I will say the highlight of this audible was the narrator.... Gabrielle de Cuir really made this for me. Loved the characters and being introduced to a new series.

Enough to Hook You

I liked this book. It was a long book and it intrigued me that our heroine had pegged the bad guy before half of the book was done and spent the rest of the book convincing the knucklehead homicide division and defending herself from break down allegations. This book is not slick and really almost has the feel of high school writing assignment in some areas, in others it reads like some of the best. I'm not sure if its because of the profiling aspect of a serial killer or if its because of the charming naive attempt at combining killer and "perhaps not totally acquainted with" adult situations presented, but either way, Steffen hooked me for a second book.

P M Stephen described everything down to the detail. There many twists and turns. The performer was absolutely amazing - she successfully executed various accents.

So many twist and turns. Love the way she adopted Tiffany. Was a really good book and I enjoyed the characters
