Victor Smiley and his wife Joan have been married for nearly 20 years, but each barely recognises the person they wake up with every morning. But then, as the bills mount, Victor loses his job. Soon he realises that the only way he can achieve his dream of setting up home with his mistress is to get Joan out of the picture. But Victor is about to get a nasty surprise. This book was a very easy listen, quite a simple tale which didn't take too much imagination, quite good to pass a couple of hours.
"Could A Murder Be Less Perfect!"
It is a slow, easy listen.
The most interesting part of the book was the way in which the author sketched just enough of the characters to be credible.
Paul has a relaxed, unflappable delivery. It is very soothing and in stark contrast to the murder.
I think that this book could and probably should, be turned into a short drama.
A short, quite clever book. Most of it obvious really. Strangely, that was what helped to make it, intriguing.
"easy to follow quick read"
In the middle, it was a good book and easy to follow.
I wouldn't beable to compare as its the book like this I've read, its completely different to the Roy grace series of Peter James
The scene where Joan realised that her affair chap was no different to other men
don't understand question so can't answer
