Publisher's summary

Charlie Castillo's secret unit has been disbanded - but that doesn't mean he's out of business. As experience has painfully shown him, there are many things the intelligence community can't do, won't do, or doesn't do well, and he has the men and assets to help set things straight.

But the first opportunity, when it comes, is shocking: A FedEx package arrives, bearing photos of barrels containing some of the most dangerous biohazard materials on earth, all of which were supposed to have been destroyed during a raid on a secret Russian factory in the Congo. Who has them, and what do they want? Castillo has a feeling he's not going to like the answers.

Too Much Repetition

The author devotes way too much time to repeat information from previous books in the series. Having read all previous books in the series, I can safely say that this was my least favorite of them all.

Castillo and his band of merry men

This was a bit different from previous encounters. There was not as much action as I am used to but more nuisance in the political area. I found it enjoyable. As long as Mr. Griffin keeps writing I will keep reading.

Disappointing

I have enjoyed this series, as I have all of WEB Griffin’s previous work. However, the inaccuracies, back story changes, character changes, and down right poor writing makes this the worst Griffin book to date. I’ll give the next book in this series a try, but it better be an improvement

WEB

Not as tight as preceeding novels.
More tongue in cheek than others as well, not so much as to abandon the series but……

Best of the Castillo series

The entire rich cast of characters developed in previous Castillo novels appears. Yes, there is some retelling of the old stories, but so what. The value in Griffin's writing are the characterizations. Well written. Superbly narrated. This one is 18 hours of solid enjoyment.

Beware of narrator change

The story was good as usual. The narrator was also good. However, please do not change the narrator in the middle of a series. The listener gets used to the characters according to the voices of the Narrator. Changing the narrator in book 7 of a nine book series really took away from my enjoyment of this book.

This was hard to read/listen to.

This was hard to read/listen to, I have read/listened to W.E.B Griffen for a long time now, I understand there will be retelling of past events to refresh readers but this was too much. Also changing out the narrater was a mistake, I already put the face to voice in my mind, but now am all messed up! Whoever did this need to be taken to the east gate and be given an Indian beauty mark.

Major's Exec

There were a few struggles with the story, but a good conclusion as expected with a WEB Griffin story. It was WEB, not another author. Be patient. Very good.
