This book held my interest and I could not stop listening. I admit to liking tales of the sea and this book is very nautical. The writer takes pains to put his prose into nautical context. A good story with enough human greed, sloth, and error to make it a very good listen. Finally one worth a credit.
no real twists or turns in the story, easy to figure out what was coming up in the book. the end was truly disappointing as it leraves many questions unanswered.
Easy way to spend some drive time, but I wouldn't suggest it.
I listened to this book twice, 6 months apart with equal interest. The storyline and narrator are both complimentary and I consider this good entertainment. It was quite captivating. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
The description of the ferocity of the storm encountered stands out in my mind.
I enjoy Peter Wickham's narration and look forward to listening to his other books.
Yes, I could have listened to this book in one sitting.
I like nautical fiction, but not modern nautical adventures. To be honest, I probably should've read the description and seen this was a modern sea tale. I'm more into the tales set in the distant past. I couldn't really get into this one.
