"The Man with the Twisted Lip" is one of Arthur Conan Doyle's stories from The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1892). It all begins when Dr. Watson is required to retrieve one of his patients, Isa Whitney, from an opium den, the "Bar of Gold" in Upper Swandam Lane somewhere in the East End of London....
